Enchanted Valley View, Unit 2

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Enchanted Valley! The unit was exactly as pictured / described. In addition to the window a/c in the main bedroom, there were high powered fans in each of the rooms. We were very comfortable, even on the hottest days. It was a joy to cook in the enormous kitchen, which was well stocked with a variety of kitchen tools in addition to the typical pots / pans / dinnerware / utensils. With the Walmart so close, we were able to food prep for the rest of our trip. The washer / dryer worked as expected - one of the key features in choosing this listing at the midpoint of our extended vacation to the finger lakes. We loved the magnificent valley views and visits from deer. We hope to return during the fall to experience the leaves. The home was easy to find and access and was very convenient to Watkin's Glen State Park which was the highlight of our trip. James communicated well and was available if needed. Highly recommend!

The view was amazing The home and beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. We loved aeeing the sunrise from the sunroom. We look forward to staying there again.

This property gives a lot of bang for the buck! It's spacious, it's a good location close to Watkins Glen, amazing view, it's private. The unit we stayed in was in the basement and it seemed very damp, and we saw quite a few spiderwebs and spiders around. It felt like a basement. But the bedrooms and bathrooms, and kitchen were all clean, and kitchen well stocked.

Everything was phenomenal! From the communication from Jim the owner, to the place itself! Jim even texted to let me know it was ready prior to set check in time! Which was such a huge help being we just finished a long hike. There's no way to describe this place without saying you just need to go and experience it for yourself! Absolutely stunning, and incredible.

The view is wonderful and we could watch the deer and turkeys every day in the lower fields

The house was awesome. Good size, great kitchen, well-decorated and stocked with necessities, with a beautiful landscape right behind it. Easy drive to attractions nearby. Great host.

This a lovely home with everything you need and is minutes from the wine trail. Beautifully view in the mornings and sunsets. We’ll be back next year.

Jim was a great host. He communicated promptly and was easy to work with. The beds were comfortable. There are collectibles all over giving a kitschy vibe. I noticed none were dusty! That was impressive. I put 5 for cleanliness even though there is a “basementy” odor. It was not bad enough to ruin our stay. There were thoughtfully placed items like binoculars and playing cards in the sun room. And of course that was our favorite part—just amazing views. The location is very convenient to town and racing.

For a one night stay, it was suitable for the price. The views were amazing as described and was lucky enough to catch the sunrise! As far as the property, all it needs is some decluttering and some general upkeep. We were on bottom level and tenants above were heard late night and early morning moving about. This place has the potential to be a standout rental!!

Everything was great about the property. You are surrounded by beautiful views and the area is serene. The unit was clean and well-furnished. Jim, the host, was communicative and prompt with responses. Highly recommended and would stay here again.

The good: Excellent location and view. The bad: It smells bad and we believe there is mold in the air. My husand and I both developed respiratory issues. I read the reviews and saw another family had this problem. It was so bad we had to leave a day early. I wish I would have read the reviews before I booked it. We couldnt get a refund for the last day from the host because he just denied having any problems there.

Jim had excellent communication, and upgraded us to his second unit. The view and sunroom were amazing. Lots of room for three adults. Beds very comfortable. Loved the decor. We enjoyed our stay!

Roomy space, close to many waterfalls, lakes, state parks and activities. Would stay again.

We enjoyed our visit. I believe the property listing is a little incorrect. Unit 2 comes with a 1 1/2 baths, which was great for our needs. Over all the property was very accommodating . The view was amazing!

The space was unlocked and all lit up to welcome us. The furniture was comfortable. The views from their windows and patio were lovely! Unfortunately we arrived in the dark and left by 8:15 AM the next morning, so we didn't really have time to relax and enjoy it.

The place is comfortable and you have all the things you need especially if you prefer to prepare and cook your own food

The house was easy to locate and close to Watkins Glen. It was quite dirty when we arrived. We located the vacuum and cleaned the floors/walls/ceiling. There was a lot of cob webs/spiders in each room. The beds were comfortable and the decor was nice. There is plenty of room for 6 people. The listing indicated there was a washing machine but we did not see one. There were 2 bathrooms, which was a pleasant surprise and the water pressure was good for showers. We tried watching tv but the wifi kept cutting out and the tv program would just pause/not load. The people upstairs were loud. You could hear them talking and stomping on the floor but they were quiet after 10pm. We enjoyed sitting in the enclosed patio and watching the deer & turkeys that were in the fields behind the house. It has a wonderful view.

The view was beautiful.The house was in a nice location close to Watkins Glen but had more privacy. Inside was clean.
