Elk River Retreat on the river! Great for fishing or relaxing!

Enjoyed the scenery, and the quick walk to the river with my daughter!

I struggled on weather or not I would write this review but it was the property owners lack of accountability that made me write it. There were large holes all around the exterior walls of the home. It’s the woods so critters do enter the home from these holes. There was black mold in the master bathroom. The master toilet rocks when you sit on it. The jacuzzi tub does fill with water but the jets do not work. The owner laughed that off as a minor issue. The master shower and jacuzzi tub were dirty: master toilet had feces and pubic hair on the sear. Don’t let anyone lean on the deck unless you want to fall over as the railing is full of dry rot and rocks back and forth about 8 inches. There is also several broken plastic chairs and a patio table with a broken rusty leg and loose glass on it. The upstairs toilet also broke because the chain had rusted in the kids room there was a large broken mirror with a huge piece of broken glass sitting beside the mirror. The fridge shelve was broken and held together with a small piece of tape and the freezer had mold in it. The blender that was advertised didn’t work along with a few other appliances. And the list goes on and on. The main issue was the lady didn’t even offer an apology for any of this.

This place is paradise. Elk River is clear and beautiful. The house side of the river has has a sandy eddy for children to safely play in while the other side is deep for swimmers. We loved the quiet along with no light pollution. We saw a meteor shower. The kids were fascinated by the fish hatchery just a short walk away. It was fun watching occasional cars pass over the river on a swinging bridge. The 2 engineers in our group had quite a conversation over its construction. We ate all meals on the large deck. The home is roomy, clean and well stocked.

Love the location! Right on the river with easy access. Was beautiful! Water was nice! Overall amenities were great. The house is very spacious and well kept. Only issue with wifi connectivity being spotty - especially with watching TV. Bring DVD's or downloaded items and connect to TV if needed at night.

Right on the Elk River with beautifil view. Has all the amenities you need and comfortable. Close to Port Orford and Bandon beaches for exploring and fishing.

Fantastic location, Fantastic view of the river, let us check in early. The house is lot nicer than the pictures make it seem. Great place for a family get away. Right next to a really great place to swim just up the road by the big rocks.

Great stay for the price. Bedrooms are spacious and clean with plenty of nice sized beds.Trail to river is a trail.. fine for people used to walking a trail.If your looking for completely refurbished and updated that is this roomy and on the water, your going to be paying a lot more. This was just what the pictures show. Not completely updated, but a nice, quiet stay with water access.

The house was very clean and quite comfortable. We spent a lot of time out enjoying the view of the river too.

Great location, beautiful on the river, well stocked house for all the kitchen items anyone would need. Very comfortable and fun times by our family at our recent stay.

We were very very pleased with this place - everything was very comfortable and anything we needed was available. We would be quite happy to stay again should the need arise. Thank you for such a wonderfully pleasant timecaway from our lives!!!

It was nice to have a beautiful setting to gather together. We enjoyed a couple of evenings with family and friends at the house on Elk River. It was a great experience.

The property is 1.5 miles from our grandkids. This makes it close to perfect for us!!

This vacation rental has an awesome view of the Elk. Very close to the hatchery. Comfortable, clean.

My now husband and I stayed at this property leading up to our wedding which we celebrated locally in Langlois. This was a great location where we were able to relax and spend time with friends and family, and be able to include our dog Rocco. There was plenty of space, ample parking, and a comfort in which the property provided. We did notice that the house was not fully cleaned upon our arrival, the entry floor was not fully swept, there was a bag of trash in the master bathroom vanity, and the kitchen counter tops were very dusty. The master bedroom sliding door lock to the deck was broken and the dining room screen to the deck had holes near the handle. Overall though we enjoyed our stay and the property fulfilled our needs!

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Plenty of room to spread out while still being together. Loved the space on the deck. Enjoyed the additional seating through out the home so that people could gather easily! Saw a few deer, went upriver to a great swimming hole, spent time at the ocean and went on the jet boats in Gold Beach! Highly recommend this home to bring family together in a peaceful relaxing setting!

Amazing! My family and I absolutely loved it. Plenty of space for everyone, plenty of things to keep the kiddos busy, BBQ on the deck. We are from Washington State all the way up north for a family wedding and was able to get together with all our family for an evening BBQ before we headed out. Views, quiet, really relaxing. Deck is a little unstable in a few spots, and the BBQ wasn’t working but my husband was able to get it fixed. Highly recommend! We plan to do another stay at the same location next year!

Such a beautiful place to unwind and enjoy the tranquility in life. Fantastic place for my children to play and explore.

We had a family get together and used the house as our home base. It was so nice that we could stay there and have local family come over for a couple of BBQs. The river was right at the back and we all loved it. Plus the fish hatchery next door was an interesting add to our adventure. You could not get a better spot.
