Looking for an EXPERIENCE different than what the resorts provide Woodrose Plantation includes a breathtaking home nestled on two and one-half acres of lush, botanical, and fruit gardens in pristine Moloaa Bay. Some of the varieties of fruits are listed below. (This fruit has been sold to markets, health food stores, and restaurants for years). A very private beach is just steps from your back door. (actually, about 1500'or 5 min walk with small children)
This plantation-style home, is adream, with high vaulted ceilings and views from every window. Hot water comes from energy-efficient Solar generated water heaters. The estate owners make this unique home available when owners are not on the island. Beautiful copper gate protecting property privacy, Enjoy your delicious fresh fruit (all you can eat that is in season) from 100s of tropical trees as you bask on spacious covered decks, listening to the waves and enjoy ocean breezes. You might try Starfruit, three varieties of Avocados, Oranges, three varieties of Papayas, four varieties of Bananas, Mangos, two varieties of Lemons, Limes, Tangelos, Tangerines, Ademoyas, Figs, Cheremoyas, Cream Apples, Passion fruit, Strawberry Guava, Surinam Cherries, Pomelos, Lychees, Coconuts, pomegranates, two varieties of pineapples and two varieties of Grapefruit. Some fruits take up to 2 years to propagate such as pineapples. You will find 100s of rare, exotic flowers including orchids, heliconias, anthuriums, plumeria, red, pink, blue, white, yellow ginger, wood roses, and gardenias, to adorn your tables, make flower leis, or just enjoy in your yard. You may eat and use all of the fruit and flowers you like for your personal use. (Woodrose makes no guarantee of any fruits or flowers being available at any given time due to seasons and other uncontrollable causes). Woodrose Plantation is a licensed rental property. TVR/NCU #4180 (for emergencies call 808-320-0363)
Moloaa Bay is one of the most private bays on the island. There is fun for all ages on the exposed reefs and tide pools, the sandy beaches, snorkeling, surfing, kayaking, swimming, fishing, or roasting marshmallows on fire at the beach when you are not picking fresh fruit or flowers and just want a rest. There is shade at the beach (large trees), for those with fair skin and protected areas for small children.
Our home has large bedrooms with beautiful, rare, hardwood floors, and hand-carved teak accent furniture make this 'fruit and flower picking' an experience to talk about for a lifetime. You will have an experience like never before while staying in this 'farmers market buffet' plantation. It is Very Private and out of view. Close to town, shopping, movies, restaurants, etc. Because you are in the jungle of Kauai you may be visited by a friendly gecko or two. Although we spray our Plantation its impossible to keep every ant and bug in nature and out of the house. We do our best but unlike resorts that are not located in secluded areas it is an impossible task and you may see some of these too. Woodrose is our family home, which means it is a home, not a resort with 24 hour people to fix the unknown item needed repair. We act as soon as we are made aware of anything broken but this is an island home and repairmen are not as available as you may like. We ask for patience in the unfortunate case something were to break.
Being close to the beach means that we are located in a Tsunami zone. In the case of a Tsunami take Moloaa road up to Koolau where you are out of the Tsunami zone.

We loved our stay in the deep Kauai jungle and the nearby beach hideaway. Our family loved the experience and I only wish we had more time.

Our stay at Woodrose Plantation was fantastic. Beautiful weather, walking distance to the beach, and an abundance of fresh avocados and oranges right on the property—truly special. The house was comfortable and clean for our stay. Tiffany was an extremely helpful host and quick to respond to any questions. This was our second visit, and we’re already looking forward to coming back again.

We had a wonderful experience. A little piece of heaven on earth. The property is in the middle of the jungle I expected to see monkeys in the trees. But no monkeys in Kauai. The walk to the beach was pleasant and the bay is breathtaking! We can’t wait to come back.

If you're looking for a more old Hawaii' experience, look no further! This house reminded me of my time growing up in Hawaii. Tucked away from the crowds and such a lovely little walk to the beach it was the perfect fit for our family and friend's trip. The kids had a blast exploring the yard and enjoying the jungle walk to the (very empty!) beach.

We loved this plantation style home tucked in the rainforest of Kauai. It is surround by tropical plants and fruit trees. We loved that the cute geckos were out in the sun during the day. The home looked like it has fresh new paint and smelled clean and fresh. The bathrooms were clean and towels soft. The beds were very comfortable with very plush pillows. The fans in every room kept us cool while we slept. It appeared like they have newer fans in the bedrooms. We loved our stay here. Very well kept, clean, tidy and comfortable to relax for our family vacation. We have all the ages teens and 10 year old. Everyone enjoyed this home and the coconut trees in the backyard are beautiful. It made for the most picturesque setting on this garden Isle. We will definitely stay here again! Tiffany was helpful and quick to reply with all our questions and gave us great recommendation's for places to go and things to do. Thank you Tiffany!

Listing information not accurate, beach distance not accurate, interior of home was not representative of pictures online. Mold in bathrooms, and all over shower curtain, you could actually smell it, caked on the tile bathroom shower enclosures, huge health issues for older adults and young children, quite visible. No outlet covers on two electrical outlets, we had youn children, one who crawls and came perilously close to putting hands on live wires. Master bedroom blinds on two windows were broken and in need of immediate replacement. Outlets in MB by bed did not work, we had to purchase a extension cord to make our C-pap machine work. No propane for outside grill, did not want to cook inside, as temperatures were plus 82 degrees inside of home already. Feral cat attacked my daughter, had bite and scratch marks on outside attached lanai. No hot water for morning shower. I think you get an idea of issues and things that need to be immediately addressed. Regards, John

3 adults and 3 kids between 5-10yrs old stayed 6 nights. Communication with the owner was great. The neighborhood was quiet and full of trees and greenery. The walk to the beach was pleasant and easy. The beach was fabulous! We went to Poipu and Anini as well, but honestly saw more sea life at Moloa'a beach. If you don't like crowds, Moloa'a is the place to go! Snorkel masks and water shoes were at the home for use, but we had brought our own. Best snorkeling to the far left or the far right facing the water anytime before 3p (after that the current gets a bit rough). Plenty of towels (beach and bath) were provided. The home is stocked with the basics of what a home should have. Kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of box fans and ceiling fans to use (there's no AC). The kids enjoyed the friendly outdoor cats, the chickens/roosters, toads, and the geckos everywhere. The home is not brand new and it's in need of repairs. Electrical outlets that don't work (overly humid environment has probably contributed to that issue). A window that has a large 2ft crack in it. Shower knobs that are finicky probably due to corrosion. I loved the wood floors, the lanai and the open feel of the living space. The kids loved the hammock and the loft. The bedrooms had comfy beds with nice linens and plenty of dressers/ closet space. The yard is overgrown and needs a lot of TLC. Overall we enjoyed the location, the space, and the quiet. Lots of bugs... Raid provided works.

We stayed for 10 days at the Woodrose plantation near Moloaa Bay. Our family had an excellent time enjoying Kauai, especially our stay in this secluded quiet location surrounded by fruit trees. We loved the short walk to the beach which we did several times each day. The bay is also secluded and peaceful and offered opportunities for swimming and snorkeling, protected from too many waves. The house had plenty of rooms and space for our needs. Temperature was very manageable with all the ceiling fans. We had a super time. Thank you!

Great house in real Kauai. Short walk to the beach. Nice neighbors. Short drive to dining and parks. House is not air conditioned, but has ample fans to keep the home pleasant while we were there.

We loved the house and the location. The fresh fruit was delightful. The beach is a bit of a walk and not where we would spend the day in the water. However its absolutely beautiful and worth the walk. There are a few spots for parking. We enjoyed the location a lot. Our hostess was very responsive and very nice. Waking to roosters was fun.. lol.

This is our 4th time at Woodrose, and we are never unhappy. We love the comforts of this home, is it brand new, no, is it like being in a traditional lived in plantation house, very much so! Is it clean,YES! does everything work, not always, but never is it anything you can't work around. The kitchen is well supplied, beds and bedding are great! If you want comfort, old Hawaii, in the jungle, and steps away from the most beautiful beach, this place is for you!
