El Salto Compound-Private setting on 3 acres with trees- 3 separate homes

This was great for our group of 15! The rooms and beds were comfortable. Everyone had space to spread out. The main house was great for cooking and relaxing as a group. The kitchens had everything you need in terms of appliances and cooking utensils. Location was close to the skiing and town for fishing/ shopping/ eating out. The house was very clean which we really appreciated and the grounds were beautiful (amazing views from the hot tub).

It was easy to get to from the airports and about 24 mins from the ski resort. We loved having the fire places. The caretaker was responsive to our questions regarding the trash compactor to ensure everything with smoothly. The only issue to note was that after we left and locked up the hot tub it started to empty itself so I would recommend taking a photo prior to departure and if you have some larger folks in the group keep the hot tube to a minimum or it will siphon itself.

This place really needs to be upgraded. Faucets are loose, one of the bathrooms was unusable and was locked off in the guest house so the usable bath has a tiny sink and shower. The CO2 alarm went off at 11:30 pm in the cabin - 5 short beeps and then pause- which internet says evacuate. Two of us had to go to main house and sleep on couch. Caregiver says was fine the next day, just battery but we were then concerned about our safety. Refrigerator in the main house went out and we lost some food. Learned it has to be reset sometimes. Dishwasher needs to be reset intermittently too Stovetop is very difficult to figure out , but it works.. sort of - if you don't need to boil water. Beautiful location and place

We had 6 adults, a baby, and a 2 y.o. in the main house, 3 adults in the middle house, and 2 adults in the guest house in comfortable beds. Fire in the fireplace and a beautiful Christmas tree made for a memorable and wonderful Christmas for our family !!

Denise was helpful and welcoming. The compound was perfect for our group of friends and family. All of the buildings were very clean and in great condition, pantry basics are stocked and nice small appliances too! We enjoyed the stay very much.

It was large enough to accommodate all of us, we were at capacity, and still allowed us privacy and comfort. Having three separate dwellings really helped. My niece and her young family were able to care better for their children, everyone had a good bed, and there were three full kitchens to accommodate our love for cooking and gathering for shared meals, and plenty of bathrooms. The large hot tub was a real gift as several guests are hikers and enjoyed the relax after hiking. The rest of us found time in the hot tub too! The trees surrounding the compound gave us privacy and beauty, the sunsets from the deck were breathtaking. We had easy access to all that Taos and the surrounding area had to offer. In other words, it was perfect for us and I think it would be for others that want to gather many loved ones together!I will say just twoother things. Our host Denise was terrific when called upon to answer questions and solve problems. And I do hope that Premier Properties will consider replacing the kitchen appliances in the big house. We found all of them to be challenging.

The main house and two guest houses gave everyone space, and the property was beautiful, clean, and clearly well cared for. A special spot for a group trip.

This property was perfect for a multi-generation family gathering. All the houses were super clean and comfortable. The main house is a beautiful log home with a wonderful view. We highly recommend this property.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Fifteen family members stayed at this compound for a local wedding. For us, the location was perfect for all the events over three days. We had plenty of room to spread out, to gather together, and to enjoy the outdoors. It should be noted that the loft in the guest house, though very cute, was not suitable for adults or children in our group. The “stairway” leading up to the loft was basically a steep ladder. There was also an opening in that room that overlooked the living room. We didn’t feel comfortable having the 5-year-old in there, and no adult would want to make that climb multiple times each day. There was a dishwasher “glitch” noted in the main house info, but seriously the dishwasher just didn’t work. The microwave had evidently been replaced at some point with a smaller version, and it didn’t fill the space , leaving an insitely gap on the sides. Still, it did work. The main house and the little cabin were much in need of a good cleaning. None of the floors appeared to have been cleaned, cobwebs were abundant, and the pull-out in the small cabin was no usable. When pulled out it was really dirty. Old ear plugs, wrappers, crumbs. We pushed it back in, sanitized the couch, and just had the little one sleep there. We would love to stay in this area again when visiting family, and I'm hoping these issues are resolved in the future.
