We enjoyed our stay at the Edgemont house. The location, view, living space, dining and kitchen areas worked very well. The views from the deck and the main living area were spectacular. the home was clean and comfortable. We were disappointed with the bathroom situation upstairs. The Jack and Jill bathroom upstairs between the two bedrooms might work well for a family, but did not work well for two couples. One couple had to use the downstairs toilet and shower. Both couples had little privacy because the doors between the upstairs bath/powder room were all pocket doors.
Located in a quiet neighbourhood with great views and easy to walk to town. A lovley library nearby and Saltwater restaurant. Point Reyes Station a short drive.
We had a wonderful time, sat on the deck and saw some pelicans and birds feeding in the bay. House was very clean and comfortable.
Beautiful sunny days and a rainy day. House has beautiful views especially at dawn! Will definitely be back to this home!
I stayed here with my husband and toddler in July. The house had exactly what we needed and was so comfortable and clean. I loved the many different views of the bay--all I wanted to do was sit on the deck all day and watch the birds and the water. The neighborhood was quiet and great for walks, too. I hope to return!
The view is nothing short of stunning, and I enjoyed hours on the wrap-around deck. You're at treetop height and you'll see amazing birds. Folks were digging in the yard one of the days and a neighbor was asking the diggers when the owners will remove 2 dead trees, so it wasn't serene but I still enjoyed reading on the deck. It was about a 25 minute drive, but we also enjoyed long hikes around Pt Reyes. We saw dozens of elephant seals! The eating was a tad disappointing as I was expecting to walk to fine dining, but everything in itsy bitsy downtown Inverness was closed and we ended up eating from a grocery store. While there, we picked up some toiletries as the luxury soap and shampoo was one multi-purpose, albeit eco-friendly, pump bottle of bubble bath/soap/shampoo. Overall, a lovely home, I'd definitely recommend staying, just bring your own food if you stay mid-week.
