Eco-friendly Villa with Oceanview Rooftop & Private Pool – 10-Min walk to downtown

Very nice Home and the management was very attentive to our needs

We had a lovely stay at villa motmot, the house was plenty big enough for our group of 10. It’s basically a duplex that can connect on the bottom floor, so there are two living spaces. The roof was a great place to hang out while the sun set and the pool was very nice to get a break from the heat outside. Maria was lovely, it was great to have the floors cleaned every day and all the other daily cleaning she did. It definitely made our vacation more relaxing.

We had a group of 11 people comprised of teenagers to grandparents. The house was extremely clean, the house manager was friendly incredibly nice and responsive and the housekeeper cooked a good breakfast each morning.

Beautiful home with plenty of room to spread out. Great pool for morning swims and late afternoon relaxation. Wonderful rooftop, with beautiful views, was our spot to hang out after dinner. Concierge - Cris and Adriana were fantastic and helped with anything we needed! Our housekeeper Maria was so kind and very attentive to the home. Highly recommend MotMot!

We had a group of 11 friends that rented the house and had an amazing time! It was large enough to give everyone their own room and space. The pool was clean and refreshing, amazing views from the roof and a close walk to town. Working with the Stay in Tamarindo team was very easy and convenient. Adriana was a great manager, Cristina was a very helpful concierge and Maria a wonderful housekeeper! Would recommend to anyone!

Our stay at Villa Motmot couldn’t have been more perfect. From the time of booking until the day we left, things were pretty much seamless. Our concierge Cris and Adriana took care of every little detail, and Maria our housekeeper was fantastic. We’re a group of 40’s and 50 something’s that love to cook and entertain so the kitchen being well appointed was a treat. We arranged to have some provisions (beer, water, coffee, fruit etc) delivered before our arrival and everything was there neatly put away. The rooms and decor are very well done. Beautiful showers with great water pressure, and the beds, linens, and towels were luxurious. This was our second time in Tamarindo, and we would certainly stay in a Stay In Tamarindo property again. Another note, rent golf carts. They are the best way to get around. They will drop them off and pick them up for you. No hassle! Nicole

Great property for entertaining and relaxing with friends and family.

This house is fantastic. The yard is a tropical paradise on its own. The house is spacious clean and well appointed. Just a short walk to the heart of town. The best part of our stay were the property managers who bent over backwards to help us line up activities, get groceries, rental cars, covid tests for the return trip and everything we could have possibly needed. We highly recommend it and would love to stay here again in the future.

All in all, we had a wonderful vacation...some hiccups and kinks to be worked out as I know this property is new to VRBO. Check-in and out were easy and seamless. Andrea was great and responsive to our needs. One of the villas lost water for close to 15 hours which created an issue. Angela was responsive and the issue was fixed by mid-morning the following day. The property is beautiful and comfortable, great layout for an extended family vacation. The kitchen could use some attention, beware neither villa has a stove! If you plan on cooking a lot neither villa is particularly well equipped for cooking big meals. The location is great but you MUST have transportation to make your stay more enjoyable. Lots of poor communication and balls dropped by the concierge and we were out of transportation. The concierge was sub-par for this property, slightly disorganized and a lot of backtracking, we were disappointed. She stepped up her game while we were there but the last thing I wanted to do ON the trip was go back and forth with the concierge, it should have been done prior to our arrival. For the cost of the villa, nothing should be sub-par, I would expect slightly better service. Also very disappointed with the transportation company that they recommended we use, Paradise Rentals. Avoid them if possible. We stayed for 7 nights which meant housekeeping came only once during our stay. Again, given the cost of the villas, housekeeping should be offered every other day as well as linen service. Despite our best efforts the floors, in particular, were VERY dirty...the last thing you want to do on vacation is clean floors and towels. All in all, any of our complaints and criticisms are manageable and I'm confident the property managers will improve over time. We made the best of our situation, we loved the villas and the location...the attention to detail and customer service need a little work. And those villas should NEVER lose water. Thankfully we had both villas and could use the other side but if we were in just the one villa it would have been a huge issue.
