Jeff and Patty were EXCELLENT hosts and made sure that we had everything we needed. My husband and I really enjoyed the experience and the East Calvary home was well thought out. There were so many little details that Jeff and Patty underwent to ensure the satisfaction of their guests and their home was gorgeous! Definitely recommend to anyone looking to visit the Gettysburg area.

This place is great. As a cook it was great to have what you need to make a decent meal. The Kitchen was well equipped with quality cookware and all the basic tools a good cook would desire. Sink, microwave electric range and oven were all updated , clean and easy to work with. The property is clean and well cared for. The total floor It's in a great setting off the road providing privacy. The owners were responsive at the check in , post check in and check out. Just down the road from shopping and , food and groceries and a ten minute drive to the battlefields. Great location. I've stayed in Gettysburg area many times and this was top notch.

The house was very clean. The kitchen is great and very well stalked with items needed to cook with and dishes. We loved the outdoor firepit for campfires and the charcoal grills were great. 3 bathrooms for a larger group was wonderful! The close location to Gettysburg and all it's parks/museums and downtown stores was perfect! I would highly recommend this house to rent!

Fantastic house and property. Unfortunately, it was too nice outside all weekend, so we didn’t really get to enjoy the inside of the house, but that’s a good thing. We plan on renting the house again next year.

Our whole extended family, ages 9-70 found something to enjoy at the red house. Though there are only 3 bedrooms, the unique floor plan gave all 9 of us at least a semi-private nook for sleep and private time. Jeff and Patty checked in with us before and after arrival through the app. But we didn’t have any questions because the house had anything we could need, with handy, clear instructions for a/c, etc. By far our favorite characteristic was the location - the privacy, ample trees, the deck, and fire ring made us feel like we were in the middle of the woods, yet it only took a a few minutes to get to restaurants and downtown Gettysburg. We also enjoyed all of the Bigfoot sittings! (Our family counted 4!) We only wish we could have stayed longer.

Jeff and Patty were excellent hosts. We had everything that we needed with extras just in case. Loved the back deck, it was where we spent most of our time at the house. The battlefields are really close an the museum was so impressive.

The property was exactly as listed with many amenities. My family really enjoyed the outside firepit and bbq area. Each room was uniquely decorated, well furnished and comfortable. Planning to come again.

Absolutely wonderful property!! I can’t write enough positive things about our experience. The house is located on a beautifully secluded wooded piece of property yet just minutes away from the attractions of Gettysburg. The house itself was well maintained and very clean. The layout of the house was perfect for a large group. There was room to accommodate all of us when we wanted to eat together or play a game. Yet the layout of the house also provided quiet, more private areas if you wanted to read. The movie room was perfect. It was set away under the stairs, yet large so all of us could fit comfortably. I am so impressed with all the things the hosts provided. There was an extensive movie collection, a good variety of games and many books. The hosts were very thoughtful - if you forgot something, it was there. Bug spray, Band Aids, umbrellas, creamer, flash lights, phone chargers . . . You name it, it was there. Outside there was a great firepit with plenty of dry firewood provided. I highly recommend this property. Honestly, I truly believe staying here added to our vacation.

Feels secluded yet it’s a short drive to everything you need and want. Kudos to Jeff for making you feel like a treasured guest. The house is spacious , clean and well provisioned.You made us feel at home which is very rare in a rental.

Our second year renting the East Cavalry Red House. Love this place. The house is clean, has a great set up, terrific kitchen, fire pit, plenty of firewood, two outdoor grills, etc. The location can't be beat. Walmart, a supermarket, and plenty of other retail establishments are just around the corner, and downtown Gettysburg is 5 minutes away. Our hosts Jeff and Patty are the best hosts!!

House was awsome, location was good, everything was great.

We had an amazing stay at this house! We came for a weekend trip for my son’s 16th birthday with friends and family. The wooded property is beautiful and private but so close to town. It was super clean, well stocked kitchen, easy instructions for everything, and the host was great to check in with us while we were there. We would definitely recommend this house for larger groups especially if you want a quiet location.

Fantastic house, very generous in space and support

We loved our stay here! The house was clean, the beds were comfortable! For those of us with artificial fragrance sensitivities, I was very excited to learn that they don't use any plug-ins or heavy fragrances anywhere in the house! Free and clear laundry soap meant that we didn't have to worry about bringing our own pillows etc! While the multi-levels of the house would pose problems for some with mobility issues, this house was perfect for our family with a total of 8 kids, ranging in ages from 22 months to 16 years old. It gave a lot of space for everyone to spread out but still be in close proximity. I didn't find any dry-measuring cups and the measuring spoon selection was limited, but if you're not doing any baking that shouldn't be an issue. I was able to use the liquid measures to get what I needed. Other than that the house is VERY well stocked and a lot of little details are seen to! A very well thought out rental! The hosts were very kind and helpful in their correspondence to me! The house is very privately located, but only minutes from Gettysburg attractions and shopping centers! Just a fantastic house!

We could not be happier! We are constantly using Vrbo and not all houses are up to par. The home was clean and well stocked. We had our daughter and 2 grandchildren with us and everyone had their own space and yet we were together. We are already planning on coming back to Gettysburg and this is where we will stay ?

We had a great time staying at Jeff and Patty's place! The house was excellently clean, the kitchen was exceptionally well stocked (even with kid-friendly dishes! and coffee) and the house easily accommodated our party -- the grownups played cards, the kids watched movies and we all just got to be together. We had a great time visiting the battlefield, and then coming back to the house for a fire and s'mores!

Great location. Very clean ,quiet , country setting but close to everything. The place was well setup. Litterally take your cloths and hygiene products and your good to go. Thank you Jeff and Patty
