Kodiak, Alaska
Nestled atop Pillar Mountain, overlooking Kodiak's Boat Harbor, enjoy picturesque views of fishing vessels coming and going, eagles nesting, whales migrating, or the serenity of snow-capped mountains.
Take a short stroll downtown for shopping, dining out, and charter services.
Entertain guests in this custom, quality home; one of the few that survived the 1964 Tsunami. It has been beautifully restored with natural wood finishing, modern kitchen and bath facilities, along with large efficient view windows.
Dine out on its private patio and enjoy the natural beauty of our "Last Frontier."
This property was in a perfect location. We were able to walk to the majority of our destinations. Very comfortable.
The location was perfect! It was easy to walk anywhere downtown. It was perfect for my adult children to get coffee in the morning and walk to the brewery or cidery at night. The view is spectacular! It is of the boat harbor and beyond. The big windows allow you to take it all in! Plus there is a wonderful deck! The space has one bedroom and a loft with two queens. There is a pull out sofa in the living room. My daughter and her spouse had the bedroom and my son was on the pull out. The other two each had a bed upstairs. They had everything they needed!
Enjoyed the property - great views!
This home was perfect for a small family. Homey and comfortable. So well stocked with complimentary coffee, muffins, soaps, etc. Absolutely perfect!
Everything we could want, kitchen utensils, appliances, bathroom, towels, heater, bedroom, beds were comfortable, living area was comfortable, nice up to date washer and dryer. Really nice rental, PS. Muffins were a GREAT hit
Loved being so close to coffee shop, harbor (sport fishing) and restaurants - we walked everywhere. Great linens, dishes, comfy beds. We kept windows open at night, bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. If using the sofa bed in summer, may want an eye mask if you are sensitive to the light. Great host and great home. Highly recommend for active couples or family with older children (stairs, loft ceiling).
Quiet at night. Well stocked kitchen. We definitely will stay again!
Better property than I had stayed in the past and liked the main level. Small problem with front door security battery which was solved. Needs to install basement freezer for fishing groups and overall liked the property.
Lovely property located downtown Kodiak, across from the marina. Being unfamiliar with the area, we had a hard time finding parking for the truck we rented, since parking behind the house would only fit a small car. Called Arlene and she was very responsive. We ended up parking on Rezanof (main drag of Kodiak) and walked up the steps to the the upper level of the house. Nice amenities and touches throughout. Enjoyed walking downtown and to our charter across the street at the marina. Overall, enjoyed our stay very much!
Awesome place!! The view is priceless!!!
