Durham Retreat: Deck, Grill, Firepit, 10 mins from Duke & Downtown

What a lovely and comfortable home! This was a perfect Duke-area home. It was roomy, immaculate, had all the supplies we needed, and was so warm and comfy. I would absolutely book this home again.

This property was a true gem! It was located in a cul-de-sac on a very quiet street very close to downtown Durham. I brought my children to visit colleges and this was a perfect home base. Everything was very clean, well appointed, the bedrooms were so comfortable and the outside space was absolutely a treat. Also, the host was extremely responsive and gave great recommendations on restaurants and area attractions. I would 100% recommend this property.

My daughter, my grandson and myself stayed for 9 days at this property. The house is beautiful, well kept, and very well stocked. We were in Durham for my grand baby's radiation treatments, we are familiar with the area because of our frequent trips to Duke and the proximity to the hospital was ideal for us. We felt safe here and the neighborhood is quiet.

This house is immaculate. The outdoor deck and fire pit were a perfect for visiting in the evening. Quiet neighborhood close to everything. We are ready rebooked next time we visit our son.

It is hard to describe just how perfect Moyra's place is. The living room, bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms and outside areas are all perfectly appointed, comfortable, and cozy with absolutely everything you could need. Literally nothing has been overlooked. Moyra is a responsive, communicative host and everything went smoothly.

Our host was very responsive, the location was convenient to everything (Duke, Durham Bulls, groceries & restaurants), the house was clean with plenty of household items, and bedrooms spacious with comfy beds.

The home was amazing and offered great amenities for our stay! We look forward to booking this home again when visiting the Durham area!

We had a wonderful time. Everything was clean and comfortable, the back patio was awesome, the showers were very nice, and Myora took great care of us. We hope to book this house every time we get to travel to Durham to see our family living nearby!

Durham Retreat is a perfect label for this place. We needed a place to stay while I underwent treatments at Duke. Quiet neighborhood, clean, and close to the hospital. The outdoor deck was a real plus. Highly recommend.

This house has a very comfortable feel. It's located on a quiet cul de sac with easy access to everything in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area. We liked it so much that when our plans changed, we extended our stay. The wooded backyard and deck were inviting but it's mid-February, so we'll have to take advantage the next time we visit.

Very cozy and spacious home. My mom was having heart surgery at Duke and I needed a place to stay. It was 10 minutes to the hospital.Best of all I was able to bring my 2 cats! I would definitely recommend staying there.

Our family really enjoyed the house. It was clean, very nicely decorated and had ample room for all of us. We will stay here when we visit again.

This property is great. There was comfort in all the little details the homeowner thought of. From a fully stocked coffee bar to cotton pads in bathroom to having Christmas decor for the season. The location was close to all the things we needed to get to. Thanks for a great stay while traveling for the holidays.

Amazing stay during a stressful time

We had a great time visiting with family while staying at this lovely property. The house was very clean, well stocked and nicely decorated. We enjoyed the deck even though it was a little chilly. Moyra was a wonderful host and a great communicator. We would love to stay here again!!!

This is the perfect place to stay in Durham! Clean and well appointed. The location is such that it puts you close to everything in Durham. Moyra is an absolutely fantastic host! I would stay there again without a question!

Great house, beautiful back yard, great beds… Wonderful experience

It was a very nice place that I would stay again. It was past expectations.

I stayed at Moyra's for 6 weeks while I was in treatment at Duke. The house is well-stocked, super clean and wonderfully curated. The comfie bedrooms, the updated bathrooms, having meals at the dining room table, the quiet neighborhood...everything here was perfect. Moyra is fantastic and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend this house especially for long stays.

It was a great stay for my family and I. We enjoyed our time there and we stay again.

The house smelled of mold and mildew. We had to leave after two days and get a hotel for the final two days. After contacting the host she said that she sent a cleaning crew out and they claimed that there was no problems with the house. Rent at your own risk!

We were in town for the Man City vs Celtic game. This home was in a very quiet area and conveniently located to many areas of interest. The home owner was very accessible and responded to minor concerns quickly.

This property was located within minutes of Duke University Medical Hospital which was perfect for us. Very easy drive.

We enjoyed Durham Retreat. It was a very hot week. The air conditioning was wonderful. The beds and bathrooms were wonderful. The kitchen was well stocked and very comfortable for 5 of us. We really enjoyed the living room. There is a large swivel chair that everyone loved, even our little dog. They neighborhood was quiet and seemed very safe. We had a great time. Oh we even did yoga on the deck!! Too hot to sit out there.

The home was well appointed with everything we needed for a very comfortable 4 night visit. We were in a good location to visit the surrounding area and had easy access to both Durham and Chapel Hill. The backyard is serene with a wonderful deck to relax on. The bedrooms were spacious for our family of four and we very much enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

I stayed here for approximately 1 month and really enjoyed my stay. It had everything I needed for a long term stay and was very comfortable. The neighborhood felt safe. The host was really friendly and also offered a free cleaning during my stay since I was there for so long. Would recommend!
