The Dunes Duplex is the perfect stay for two families or groups traveling together. This historic home offers two private apartments under one roof, sleeping up to 12 guests. Each unit has its own kitchen, living area, bathroom, and bedrooms, giving you both privacy and togetherness. Just 2 miles from sandy beaches and a short drive to Indiana Dunes National Park, outlet mall, zoo, casino, and hiking trails.

⚠️ Please note: The upper unit is accessed via historic steep stairs. Guests with limited mobility may prefer the first-floor unit.

⚠️ Safety, Accessibility Notes, & House Rules
--Homes are NOT baby-proofed (no outlet covers, no cabinet locks, furniture is not secured to walls, no cribs provided, etc). Guests are responsible for their safety.
--No pets, parties, or events – we value the relationship with our neighbors, and strive to keep the home in top condition.
--Max 12 guests (strictly enforced)
--🚭 No smoking inside or within 50 feet (violations = $300 cleaning fee)
--Historic home: steep stairs to upper unit, not ideal for guests with mobility issues
--Train tracks 1 block away 🚂 → train whistles may be heard; white noise machines provided


⏰ Check-In / Check-Out
--Check-In: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
--Check-Out: 10:00 AM
--Note: We always try to provide early check-in and late check-out opportunities when possible. (It is simply dependent on whether or not it’s a same day check-in/out, the condition in which the previous guest left the home, and our cleaners’ schedules.) Please notify us if you would like early/late check-in/out, and we will do our best to make it work! 🕚
--Guests will receive key code & detailed check-in instructions via message on the morning of arrival.
--Michigan City operates on Central Standard Time (CST).


🛡️ Booking Requirements
We’re excited to welcome guests from all backgrounds and want to make sure every stay is enjoyable, safe, and comfortable for both you and our neighbors. To help us maintain a great experience, we ask that:
--The primary renter is 25+ with a verified government ID.
--A $500 damage deposit is required. This is returned after checkout once our team confirms the home is in good condition.

After booking, first-time guests are required to sign a standard rental agreement that reflects the house rules and booking details shown on this listing. Information provided is used solely to coordinate maintenance or schedule adjustments during your stay. This information is kept strictly within our team and is never shared externally.
