Drift Away Ridge, Brand New Lakefront Luxury w/ Covered Decks + Hot Tub, Fire Pit, Party Deck & Dock...

This was our second time at Drift Away Ridge. Just as we remembered it. Everything we could ask for in a family get-away weekend.

Perfect location and close to hiking and some great restaurants, Bull Docks fabulous! Beautifully decorated and room for everyone. We all enjoyed it very much. Don’t forget to take the taco Tuesday cruise that is listed in the magazine provided, hike on the other side of the lake, great trails! Turtle trail being one of them.

The house was perfect for our group! We loved the layout of the house and the dock as well. We will definitely consider coming back!

The house had a very nice layout, comfortable beds, and great spaces indoor and outdoors. There were plenty of plates, mugs, glasses and silverware. It lacked a bit on service utensils but had decent cookware and cooking utensils. Bathroom towels were very thin and small. There is very little in the way of paper supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, tissues) supplied when you arrive.We had a few issues with the dishwasher and grill and some lights that were out but the manager was quick to reply and repair. We loved the outdoor TV and enjoyed the hot tub too. We had a lovely time.

A comfortable lake house with a great dock and easy proximity to Bridgewater Marina. The only aspect we did not fully grasp from the listing was the number of stairs to get to and from the dock. Definitely manageable, just a slight struggle for some of our older guests.

We had a wonderful two weeks at Smith Mountain Lake in Drift Away. The house was a great size for our large family and the dock area was great for swimming and fishing. We brought our boat and had a blast touring the lake and doing water sports! Nice hot tub, comfy beds and beautiful views!

The property exceeded our expectations. The location is awesome …. the entire property was clean …. our group of eight slept comfortably …. over-the-top on things like kitchen needs, space to watch TV, furniture to play games, etc.Lots of fun!!

We had an absolutely unforgettable stay at Driftway in Moneta, VA, celebrating our son’s graduation from Virginia Tech! This beautiful and immaculate property easily accommodated our immediate family and grandparents, providing a perfect setting for making exceptional memories. The house was spacious, comfortable, had amazing amenities and extremely well-equipped, making it an ideal home base for our special occasion. The management company app is fantastic and every communication was instant from either the owner or management company.The highlight of our trip was renting a pontoon boat for sunset cruises and brisk swimming on the lake, which capped off the celebration in the most magical way. A word of caution: navigating the boat into and out of the dock requires some skill due to house location, but fortunately, we were experienced and managed without issue. The property also has quite a few steps, which could be challenging for elderly guests, so keep that in mind. It is great there there are two bedrooms on the first floor so my 89 yr old father did not have too many stairs. He was able to go down to the dock, but would rest in the comfortable basement sofa to rest a bit before heading upstairs. The grandparents spent most of the time relaxing on the beautiful outdoor porch right off the family room. Overall, Driftway exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely recommend it to others.

The House was exactly what we were looking for. We had a relaxing get away and this house had every amenity. Beautiful house with Beautiful views!

Hideaway ridge was a beautiful property and owners communicated well. They looked out for our safety with winter weather. Everyone had a great time. Would rebook.

The house was spacious and beautifull, everything was sparkling clean. The beds were incredibly comfortable, providing a great night's sleep.We have had the most wonderful stay.Well-stocked kitchen with everything we needed to cook meals.

We had a fantastic Thanksgiving at Smith Mountain Lake thanks to this fantastic rental. The house was clean, the kitchen was well stocked (even for a Thanksgiving meal), and the amenities were a big hit with our younger crowd (hot tub, huge tv for watching football near a pool table, state park close by for hiking). Highly recommend!!

4 guys over 50 years old who have been friends for years meet once per year at a lake somewhere. Drift Away was a wonderful home and is in a great location. We enjoyed the pool table, the poker chips and cards, and the outdoor porch big screen TV for the football games. Everything was in great shape and good working order. It’s also far enough from town to feel a little secluded while being close enough to a local winery and restaurant for something to do.

This property was stress-free from start to finish! We easily checked into a very clean home. There was room for our two families with young children to be on the top and bottom floors with the older generation in the middle. Noise did not carry between floors! The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare and serve meals for a crowd. Everything in the home worked as advertised. There was plenty of room to spread out and relax in large or small groups. The kids loved to watch all the deer, birds, and squirrels that traveled through the yard. We had one glitch with the cable (probably due to wind) and our host got right on it, solving the issue quickly. The check-out list was simple and easy. But most importantly, the house is on the Ice Cream Boat's route! We are already looking to book with this same host next year. If there was a downside, it'd be that the dock might be a challenge for first-time boat renters. The house is far into an inlet and you need to back the boat away from the dock in a tight area.

This place was absolutely immaculate when we arrived! Beautifully modern with plently of space for the 10 of us to stay. The lake was just steps away and it was very quiet in our little inlet. The house came well supplied with all the extra kitches appliances you could need and plently of plates/bowls/utensils. We wish we could've stayed longer! Highly recommend renting this property for your next getaway!

Clean house with all the room you need for 8-12 people.

This is a beautiful home and my family had a wonderful, relaxing week here. The staff was responsive and friendly (upon check-in, we needed more pillowcases and the staff brought them immediately). The dock did not have a floating dock as stated in the home's description, which made it impossible to have our older family members get on our rental boat at the dock; instead we had to meet them at the boat rental facility and have them board the boat there. That was a bit of an inconvenience that we weren't expecting that could have been avoided if the description was accurate. Also, the handrail on the stairs to the dock was great but it stops with about 12 stairs to go -- would be great if it went all the way to the dock! Thank you again for a lovely stay.

We all really enjoyed our self inside and outside the house. The house is very spacious with great accommodations! I do have one suggestion: It would be nice to have steps off the driveway connected to the existing outside steps going to the Dock. It would be more convenient to carry coolers, water toys, Kayaks, ETC.
