Dream Big | Mountain Views + Private Outdoor Pool

The outside property and views are amazing. The online description of the property stated that there were only 5 bedrooms when in fact, there are 5 bedroom suites on the main floor and another 2 bedroom suites in the basement. The overall cleanliness of the house was ok but the bathrooms could all use some updates. There is mold on the trim in the basement bathroom and also on a few of the shower curtains in the other bathrooms. The dishwasher worked fine but is not secured in place and would tip forward when loading/unloading.The pool was very clean upon arrival and it was actually cleaned 3 separate times throughout our week long stay. We had no issues with it and had kids in it basically all day long every day. The house did not have any sort of instructions book and so we had to call to find out what to do with our garbage. Once we were told about the bear boxes, the only way we could get the garbage to them is to put them in the back of our truck and drive them down the driveway. These were also not emptied and so we ran out of room in the boxes very quickly.It would be nice to have some basic instructions on how to operate the TV, lights, and the big screen in the movie room. Check-in and check-out were communicated well and easy to follow.Overall I would stay at this property again because of how well the house fit our family size, the pool, the general outdoor space, and the location (completely secluded but also within 10-15 minutes of grocery, etc.).

While searching on VRB0 for a place that would accommodate our family of 13 for my father’s 80th birthday, we specifically selected this property because it had a swimming pool. Because he has mobility issues, we wanted a home that would serve all our entertainment needs as it is very difficult for him to travel. We intended to spend our short time together visiting around the pool & hanging out at the home to relax & celebrate. We skipped over numerous other properties that could have accommodated us (& were substantially less expensive) because having a pool was a TOP PRIORITY. We didn’t intend to go exploring or leave the property because (we thought) it had everything we needed. However, we were disappointed to find that the pool had a leak in the filter system (that the owner was already aware of) & was filthy/unusable. We were told maintenance would be there the day we arrived, which did not happen, nor did they EVER come to repair it. TaylorMadeDCV offered to reimburse us for the “inconvenience”, but we were not satisfied, being that we wanted the pool, NOT THE MONEY. For us, it was the pool. For the next guest, it could be another issue, but pleasing their customers was not a priority. Otherwise, the house itself was very nice and accommodated our family. It would have received a higher rating if not for our experience. Be aware-if you desire to have a pool on your vacation(or quick resolutions to any difficulties during your stay)this may not be the place for you.

The overall experience was unique being away from town and up in the mountains. The bear visits and personal animal safari each time we drove up and down driveway was awesome. The house could have been much more clean though. It’s unfortunate that people rent and don’t take care of things like their own, there was a lot of damaged things such as sliding door screens, broken counters, stains on the rugs. The house could be absolutely gorgeous if taken better care. Other than that, the pool and fire pit were key to our stay. We also enjoyed the hiking trails right in our backyard.

We wanted to get away without going too far. Deep Creek was perfect. We spent most of our time at the pool. The only thing is maybe a paper to explain how to use the media room, outside speakers, living room tvs, etc. It was a great week!

could not have been better except for the list left on site of minor issues. the owner may want to walk through with the management company to address ...thank you. it was grand

Perfect

The house was so nice and a perfect getaway! The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the driveway. The driveway was not paved and very long. I understand it was long because of the location, but one of the cars had a hard time getting up the driveway because of the hill.

This place was the perfect getaway for a group of friends. Just far enough off the beaten path to have a nice private and relaxing time, but close enough to anything you needed or wanted to do.

The house is as amazing as it looks. The view is breathtaking and the pool is heated. It was a great place to get away for a long weekend with friends! The road leading to the house is long, rocky, and not great of you don't have an SUV - manageable in the summer but I would recommend a 4WD if it's rainy/muddy/snowy. The sign leading to the road was also super small.so I recommend watching carefully.
