Dragonfly cottage 1/2 mile to Higgins Lake & 6 miles to snow/orv trail systems

Clean property with everything you need. We had a great weekend. Played bags around the fire and had a beautiful day on the lake. Comfortable beds and beautiful decor!

Dragonfly Cottage is a beautiful chalet with a front porch in a quiet housing area in the woods that is pet friendly with a nice little fenced in pet yard with puppy poop bag dispenser, fire pit, and gas grill under a covered gazebo-like structure. Beautiful wood cabinets and loft with built in dressers in the bedrooms. Also includes washer and dryer and full bathroom with tub/shower. Suggestions: 1. Gas grill needs repair as one burner is not working. 2. Would be nice to have small trash can outside for puppy poop disposal until placing in large trash at check out. 3. Unable to change temperature for a/c when it got hot. 4. Large ceiling fan was covered in dust so we could not use it for cooling. 5. Would be nice to have Saran Wrap and/or Reynolds Wrap for storage as well as for grilling. 6. Steps at patio door going to pet yard needs repaired, nails coming loose. Otherwise great place to stay!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Property was super close to south higgins state park, we were there with a large group of campers. Beautiful campground! Place was clean, has everything you need! Only complaint for us were the beds/mattresses. An upgrade would be a huge plus for this property. Double beds and spring mattresses are just so old and uncomfortable. For a couple a double bed is just way too small, ikea has super adorable queen foam mattresses and they feel like sleeping on a cloud! The owner was always super quick with the responses, polite and nice. I would definitely recommend the place to others, close to a lot of things in the area and very affordable.

Peaceful, charming and cozy place to stay and enjoy. Just 4 minutes by car to South Higgins State Park beautilful beach. Will come back!

Nice, spacious home in a quiet, woodsy area that was very close to the state park. Our only complaint was the size of the bed in the main bedroom. It was listed as a queen, but was closer to a full. But overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

The house was exactly what the description stated. We (myself, my son and his family, 2 girls 8 and 4) stayed for 4 night but the girls wanted to stay for 2 weeks they definitely had a good time. Enjoyed the lake during the day and a campfire every night! Will more than likely try to book again next summer.

Awesome up north get away! Very close proximity to the lake and state park! Easy check in process with everything we needed for our stay! Perfect little outdoor area to enjoy a bbq, bonfires and yard games after a day on the water! Host was very responsive, nice, and helpful! Would definitely stay again!

Myself, a friend and her 5yr old grandson (and her pup) stayed here for a couple of nights. The house is comfortable, clean, and location is not far from state park. Grocery store and restaurants are 12-15 minute drive. My husband and I and our pup may come here to visit in the near future. Had questions about TV, and host was very pleasant and quick to respond.Thanks fot a nice place to stay!!

Property was perfect for a weekend Getaway!

Over all it was a nice stay but would have been nice to know that there were no cleaning supplies other then hand soap to do dishes or bags to replace in the garbage cans.

We have rented the Dragonfly cottage multiple times. It does not disappoint! Communication is excellent. Easy entry/access. Flexible days. Well equipped kitchen. Love the use of a washer and dryer. Thank you for a great stay.

We stayed there a couple nights for a wedding. House have stuff in case you need to cook and things like that. I like the place and location the bathtub my need a little update but overall was good stay

The kids and I returned to Dragonfly cottage for the second year. We love the area. The home is comfortable and accommodated my party of 7 easily. We will be back!

Our stay was four nights. We had eight adult family members, which was a bit tight, but we enjoyed our stay. We had other family members camping at South Higgins Lake, so the location was super convenient. The home was very clean and fairly well equipped and the beds were comfortable. There was adequate parking and the neighborhood was quiet. The Dollar General and ice cream store (Nibbles) were within walking distance. Would definitely stay at the Dragonfly House again!

We had friends and family staying at the state park and wanted to visit for a couple of days. This home was perfect for us, clean and comfortable!

Thank you for sharing your sweet lil cottage in the forest with us. We Loved it! We had a wedding at The Barn on Higgins Lake, which is only 5 minutes away. It was like traveling back in time to 1984 when everything was less complicated but with great wifi, a smart tv and digital ac! The cottage is located in a nice neighborhood with black topped roads, great for walking & biking but so secluded that a family of deer walked thru our yard each night! There was even a nice little fence in area for our pups to enjoy. A great lil getaway~ ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

Unfortunately the reason for us to come to Michigan changed and we had to cancel. Looks like a lovely home & wished we could have seen it in person. Paid for in full & went unused. :( Gave you all 5 stars. Couldn't comment w/o rating

Loved our stay here. If you love the Higgins/Houghton Lake area, this is the perfect location. Plenty of room inside. Cottage was clean. Will definitely book again when we want to visit the area.

My family of 3 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin just around the corner from the state park. Everything was clean and as advertised. Would definitely stay here again!
