Stayed Aug 1, 2025The house is fabulous! Turn of the century style with great decor and modern conveniences blended in. The host was wonderful, helpful, welcoming and available if needed. The location is perfect for accessing many activities and restaurants in Colorado Springs and the surrounding area. Great vacation! Stayed here for a month and enjoyed every minute.

Stayed Jul 18, 2025If you understand the property going in, it’s a gem. What it is—a house on the historical registry. That means it is old. It is quirky. It is fun to explore. It also means that the layout was created for life 100 years ago. The upstairs bedrooms are HUGE and the three rooms share one bathroom.Downstairs, it is remodeled so you have 1 queen room that attaches to TWO toilets (half bath and a full bath that can be accessed from the hall.)Then you have the basement—rather hidden which the kids loved. It holds its own secrets and treasures. The kitchen had a full makeover and really has everything one could want. BONUS—there is a second oven/stove in the basement. We were a multigenerational group and the ones in their 80’s felt like they were in their grandmother’s house—a grand Victorian built in the late 1800s. For this grouo, the house was an utter delight. The teens were blessed with quite a few history lessons that were sparked by various things in the house. If you are only familiar with new construction and desire en-suite bathrooms for all, this is not your house. If you love history, hidden treasures or the ability to get anywhere in the CS area in 15 min, this is your house. The central location can not be beat!

Stayed Jun 26, 2025Beautiful historic home in downtown Colorado Springs. We stayed with 5 couples. We golfed Patty Jewett on Thursday and attended the Senior Open on Friday. This home has a beautiful porch to sit out on after a full day of activities.

Stayed May 15, 2025The location was perfect for what we needed. Walkable distance to Colorado College and downtown. Has a beautiful front porch, but is on a very busy loud street. It is a beautiful Victorian house and did accommodate our big group but, pictures online were deceiving for the basement area, several beds were uncomfortable, one was broken and needs to be replaced, some of the bathrooms didn’t have hand soap, there were piles of dead and alive flies in the windows, no laundry detergent provided, kitchen pantry basics were not provided, and it was clearly not cleaned well at all. Dirty kitchen table and food crumbs on the ground. The back area behind the back yard and extra parking was trashy. Trash everywhere. There was a window in one of the rooms that was defective but not labeled or communicated, causing the window glass to break after being opened.

Stayed Oct 17, 2024Charm and good size but needs some improvement. Nice big, modern kitchen was a plus! The lower level carpet was stained in a large area. The shower curtain in the upstairs bathroom needs replacement due to mold and the tub should be resurfaced. Many closets had too many hangars and extra old pillows, towels, and blankets and take up space and should be removed.

Stayed Sep 26, 2024We had a great time. The handrail to the porch was loose. Making it difficult for my elderly aunt to climb the stairs. But the home was beautiful and a great location

Stayed Aug 29, 2024Property was very spacious. TV’s worked well. Plenty of room for everyone. Many bars, dining and shopping waking distance. Downstairs carpet needs replacing. Debris around property could be cleared. AC works very well. Some traffic noise from a busy corner. But overall great stay for access to downtown Colorado Springs.

Stayed Jul 12, 2024House is in a very convenient location: walking distance to many places in Colorado Springs. Plenty of bedrooms, space, and areas to relax. Enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evenings. GREAT host - very clear communication throughout. Also, one in our group left a wallet behind at checkout, and the host found it and messaged immediately. Met us a week later when we came back through town and returned it. Really great experience, would highly recommend.

Stayed Jul 8, 2024Fabulous house in a super location. Close to downtown, short drives to Gatden of the Gods, Manitou Springs/Cliff Dwellings, road to Pike’s Peak, Olympic Museum, parks and pool. We went to rodeo & we’re very close to the pick-up place for free ride. The kitchen was supplied better than any other home we ever rented. Reed was extremely helpful. Provided us with free adult-sized bikes. Our kids brought our grandkids’ bikes and enjoyed great bike rides on a fantastic bike trail right behind the house. The house had so many rooms and nooks & crannies the younger kids reveled in playing Hide and Go Seek. Great front porch too! Downsides? Minor— one of our Hide and Go Seekers said it was too dusty trying to hide under a couch. Also no recycling. Overall, probably the best rental we ever made for our family group!
