Our Great Grandfather built this home in 1935. It’s located on the south side of town on Stockley Street, the second block from the ocean and boardwalk, situated on a quiet street. Neighboring properties are not rented.
This 4 Bedroom 2.5 Bath has all the charm of a traditional 1930's beach house with modern upgrades.
All Four Bedrooms have queen beds with quilts and smart televisions, the house is also equipped with high speed wifi.** Linens are not included **
Our kitchen has been updated with stainless steel appliances and is equipped with all the essentials for cooking.
Both Bathrooms have been renovated in the recently and feature tile showers with multiple head options and heated floors. The Unique design of the upstairs bathrooms is 2 half bathrooms for each bedroom that is adjoined by a spacious shower in the middle.
The family rooms features a cathedral ceiling and dinning table large enough for all to come together for meals or a game of cards.
Off the family room is the front porch offering an excellent place to relax and unwind.
Around the rear of the house you will find the Laundry Room with new washer and dryer located under the garage apartment. (apartment is not rented but occasionally used by family).
Large outdoor shower covered by climbing hydrangea is an oasis. with a large rain shower head and stool to sit, it may just be the best outdoor show in all of Rehoboth.
The Messner House is only a block from the beach and boardwalk and a short 10min walk to all the shops and restaurants.
Feel free to let us know if you'd like to bring a well behaved dog during your stay. We'd be happy to discuss accommodating your pet in the house.

We booked a last minute Labor Day vacation and were thrilled to stay in this beautiful beach cottage only 1 1/2 blocks from the beach and boardwalk. We loved how comfortable the home and how equipped kitchen was. Like many rentals you have to bring your linens which is not convenient. There isn’t much of a yard but enjoyed the outside shower and screened in front porch. It is an old home and is noisy but who cares when you can be so close to the beach.
Great location. The owner was super responsive. The house is cute. Love the neighborhood. Right by the beach and near the boardwalk. Very clean. Would stay there again!
Spent a wonderful July week in Rehoboth with family, relaxing after college graduation and prepping for the transition to “real life.” The Messner house is absolutely charming and the host friendly and helpful. Stockley Street is convenient and quiet. We hope to go back!
We had a pleasant stay. The house had charm but updated kitchen and baths. Well appointed kitchen with spices etc. location is a short walk to the beach and Funland.
I can't imagine a better beach house than this one! It has all the options - quick walk to the fantastic beach and boardwalk, or you can stay in and read in comfort. All the little touches are there in the house and it has such a good vibe. Wonderful place and experience.
This was a lovely historic home set in a grove of long needle pines with nice renovations preserving the ambiance of the home. In addition, the location couldn't have been better--just a block from the beach and a short walk to downtown activities. Just a couple of quirks: you bring your own sheets and towels and no soap in the bathrooms; however, the hosts left wine so you don't have to worry! Wonderful Stay!
Location of this cute house was amazing! Great screened in porch, large living room, outdoor shower for rinsing sand and also washer/dryer a plus. Property owner/ manager was accommodating and quick to reply to messages! Bedrooms and kitchens were rather small in this house (looked roomier in pictures online) , but it's cute charm/ character outweighed the smaller sized rooms. Overall, very nice stay!
We booked this property to relive some childhood memories of coming to Rehoboth, and were thrilled that it exceeded our expectations. The house is kept immaculately, is comfortable, absorbed our 3 kids very well, and gave us the quintessential, nostalgic Rehoboth experience we were chasing. The property is a close block-plus walk to the beach, and nearly as close to Rehoboth Ave. The screened-in porch was a favorite spot in the early mornings and late afternoons/evenings. The history to the house gave it a real charm. The beds were comfortable, the space felt roomy, and our occasional run-ins with owner Barry (we sought him out) were lovely. We will be back.
What a gem! Vintage Beach House charm with beautiful new bathroom facilities. A block from the Boardwalk and Beach, but away from the traffic. Great screened in patio for relaxed evening sitting. The host was very pleasant, responsive and helpful. We had a great stay. Would rent again!
House was super clean. Owner was fantastic and very responsive. Can’t beat the location. Would stay again!!
