We enjoyed our stay and would consider this home again. The house is newer and a good layout. All the bedrooms are up a relatively steep staircase. Bright interior, good kitchen and bedrooms are a decent size. Convenient location to several areas of the city especially the river walk, historic district, battleship and other areas. The neighborhood is in transition with a mix of newer/renovated homes and older distressed homes. We took the dogs on several walks around the park that is about a block away and never felt threatened. The neighbors are nice and most everyone said hello. The fenced backyard is helpful to let the dogs out. The parking area is small and the only TV is in the family room. We brought our smart TV’s from home to put in the master and one guest room. The river walk is not really within walking distance, a little over a mile. However, Browing Brew and Hi-Wire and an Italian Pizzeria are walkable. All three were enjoyable.
Very nice pet friendly home with small but perfect fenced back yard. Lots of room for family to gather. Well maintained, clean and cozy.
We are moving from Virginia to Wilmington. We needed a place down here to hold us over as we got the new house ready. The house was clean and fresh and perfectly met our needs for some centrally located, safe, and clean home away from home for a few weeks I would definitely recommend 218 Gores Row
Our stay was alright. There were some cleaning issues but they have been reported and hope they improve the cleanliness. Other than that, nice to have a security system, a smart lock to make getting in and out easy. House overall wasn’t bad. Just the details matter.
We enjoyed our stay at the Downtown Jewel. Very cute home with all the amenities needed for a weekend in Wilmington.
Everything was great about the trip. The house was very clean.. cleaner than most hotels. I really loved the house and it provided everything! The only thing was the small backyard and the neighborhood. Not a nice neighborhood and a but far away from the beach.
Although the house was fairly nice, very clean and well appointed, the location was extremely disappointed. The home was surrounded by unkempt houses with various unsightly debris. More importantly, the area was noisy throughout the night and for various reasons , we restricted our outside activities. Based upon leasing via Marriott, we anticipated the property/location would be appropriately vetted. A disappointing experience!!!
The place had everything we needed. It is 1 mile west of the historic downtown Wilmington and the riverfront. A small playground a block away. A small backyard to sit outside. Very clean and a new build. Would return again. The area appears to have a lot of houses being renovated and built in the area. No construction around this house, but just in the surrounding roads. Seems like they are revitalizing the area. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.
