Dolphin Delight - Semi Ocean Front home with pool

We had a wonderful 24 hours. We were evacuated Sunday evening at 6:00 due to hurricane Erin. We have stayed here many years and this is the first that this has happened. This house has all the amenities and is a very easy walk to the beach. Wish we would hav3 had better weather to stay all week

Check in was super easy, the kitchen had everything we needed, close access to the beach, the pool and hot tub were great, host was very responsive to any questions we had. We enjoyed our stay!!

Really enjoyed this location and the house. The owner was great to communicate with. Kitchen was nicely stocked.

We had an amazing week! Beach in the morning and pool in the afternoons and evenings, we were never short of things to do!

My family and I loved this house! Wonderful property, plenty of space and the pool was wonderful after being on the beach all day. It’s close to Foodlion, Duck Donuts and many retail shops without feeling like you’re too close. Great communication from Jeff, the host. Great trip, great host and fantastic property. We’ve already started talking about next year at Dolphin Delight!

Clean, well appointed, great kitchen with everything needed to prepare meals when you choose. Wonderful view of ocean from comfortable Adirondack Chairs - including Sunrise! Beautiful Sunsets from soundside decks! Don’t forget the pool and hot tub and you have everything you could ask for in a beach vacation!!!

The Weather didn't help the first few days, but there was plenty at the house to entertain all. Pool, games, and even a short outing helped keep the kids happy. The rooms were Clean, spacious, and the kitchen had all the utensils we needed for our busy meals. By the end of the week, the weather improved so that we could enjoy the Short walks to the Beach. Thank you.

We have stayed in different spots every year in the OBX, and this was the first that has us thinking we’ll be back for a second stay. It was definitely the perfect spot for us and the house was great!

The property was clean and really well equipped. Everything you need for a large group. It’s a 2 minute walk to the beach and a 2 minute drive to the supermarket. Having the pool and hot tub made it even better for relaxing at the end of the day. Highly recommend staying here. The owner is very responsive and helpful.

This is always a beautiful house. It’s a few steps away from the beach and also has a lovely pool.

We enjoyed the beach most days. Beach access was close and so was the grocery store. Great location and amenities!

This is our 20th year visiting Avon, by far Dolphin Delight is our most favorite home: great location, spacious, fantastic amenities and the owner is extremely hospitable.

The property was good. Ocean was rough so enjoyed the pool a lot. Did have to get used to the steps. Had a minor problem with fleas showing up on the pet but otherwise enjoyed the stay.

We want to thank Jeff and his wife for making this a perfect vacation! Everything was so easy from arrival to departure. The home was exactly as described and there were absolutely no surprises. Plenty of room for our family of 9 to be together in the common area. Besides the beautiful ocean view every room was decorated in a costal theme. We all truly enjoyed the swimming pool too. It was so relaxing after spending a day fishing on the beach!

This is our 3rd year staying in this hime and we absolutely love it. Very convenient location, great amenities and owner is awesome! We will be back next year!

Dolphin Delight did not disappoint. The home was clean and comfortable. The pool, hot tub and game room added even more fun to our OBX activities. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to feed our group. The beach access is just one house away. DD is more than dog friendly. It is dogcentric. The owners thoughtfully provided dog dishes, dog mats and a space specifically for our furry friend’s food and water. The owner was responsive and helpful throughout the process. When we arrived we had some issues with the TV and the hot tub. Both were resolved promptly. We would also like to mention the delightful welcome basket we received upon arrival. In addition to the usual paper towels, etc., the owners provided playing cards, beach toys, note pads (great for making Food Lion lists and keeping score during card games), trash bags, OBX info, etc. A family wedding will prevent a 2025 trip but if we return to OBX in 2026 we will definitely consider Dolphin Delight
