The Old Haul Road is a popular trail used for biking, walking, and even horseback riding. The beach offers the best of both worlds: to the left, an easy walk to the surf and sand, while off to the right of the property, you'll find a small, easy to maneuver cliff which takes you to the rocky beach where there are tide pools teeming with sea life and large rocks for scaling. Just two-and-a-half miles south, visit Glass Beach, while the Mendocino Botanical Garden can be found a little over five miles away.

Security camera details: This home has outside cameras (not directed towards the interior of the home) for guest and homeowner protection. One camera is a Ring doorbell facing out at the ocean. One is on the garage that monitors the front driveway.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

We had the best time at this home. It was clean, perfect location, great view and had all we needed. Last year we had a horrible time with horrible neighbors at our previous location. Unfortunately it was the last year with my dad at our annual Fort Bragg vacation. This year we got so lucky and we were able dedicate this time to him. We usually go out a lot and don’t spend to much times at the home, but this year found ourselves never leaving. Absolutely love this home and highly recommend!
Amazing views. Family and dog friendly property. Only issue was the previous renters left broken glass around the outside deck that was never cleaned up. We had to tell our 2 boys to not use that part of the house because of the risk. We cleaned as much as we could but there was too much to clear and use the area.
This is our third time staying in this house! Everything thing is just amazing and decorated adorably! It’s comfortable and has everything needed to have a wonderful stay! Even a crock pot lol! We are a family of 8 and we fit comfortably in it! My girls shared the loft and was quite cozy with their huge tv! Can’t wait for our next stay!
The privacy and location can’t be beat…gorgeous views and the sounds of the sea. An easy walk down the property to Haul Road (bike path) and lots of access to small and large beaches. A concrete pad with outdoor furniture and fire pit. All very nice. Make sure the house layout works for you: 2 private BRs downstairs with one Bath (no en suite) the rest of the group slept in the loft, which our guests weren’t happy about. Read other comments. The downgrade to 4 stars, however, were issues that really need fixing: the deck, the dishwasher, and the second floor tv not working. All are easily reparable, and would improve anyone’s stay here.
The layout of the house was great for our family. We loved the yard and the beautiful views. The access to the walking trail and beaches was great too!
The furniture is very old and broke down The couch was hard to sit on it was so broke down the dishwasher was broken the shelves in the refrigerator were falling off the barbecue did not work very well not a very nice house great location
At first glance this home was just gorgeous! The light and open feel with plenty of privacy were just right. The easy walk to the beach was wonderful as well. We enjoyed every minute we were there and wish our stay was two weeks instead of two nights. My only complaint is that check out is at 10am which is hard for a family to accomplish after making breakfast and trying to pack and start dishwasher and laundry. I was very disappointed that at 9:58am the housekeeper pulled up and waited outside for us to finish getting out and into our cars. An 11am checkout is much more realistic and having the housekeeper wait 30 minutes after checkout is much less aggressive. Otherwise it was a wonderful stay!
Close to the beach, plenty of room for my family. We had a wonderful time. ?
The driveway to the home is very rough, needs grading. The hot tub does not work. The home heating system does not function. Neat and clean interior, tastefully done. Great Location. The decks are dangerous, rotting out in many places, with significant tripping hazards.
