Cabin was clean and had all the amenities as advertised. everything was in working order. View from porch was good. and the neighborhood was quiet. Overall, it was a nice place to stay. I would say the title or name of cabin Down by the river is misleading. I recommend changing it to Overlooking the river. The cabin is probably at least 400 ft in elevation above the river. and yes, the trail to the river is steep and strenuous to climb. My 12 and 16 yr old kids who both play sports were complaining about how difficult the walk up was. and from the pictures they took of the dock, I don't recommend going fishing there. Dock is small and brush has grown up around it. Again, it was a nice place to stay, and I do recommend it if all you're looking for is nice clean, quiet cabin to stay in. Have a blessed one.

I booked this cabin as a weekend getaway with a couple friends. Very comfortable and great view. It has everything you needed however the walk down to the river is very steep and you will get tired. They do have a way you can go down by driving, I suggest you drive. It has a good spot for you to fish at. Would recommend

This was our 2nd stay in this cabin. We really love it. Beautiful view, very private, and clean. We love sitting out on the enclosed porch. We enjoyed our stay!

Lots of amazing things about this property- The view from the screened in porch & how close it is to town. However, we were sad that it was so difficult to go to the river. I saw other views that mentioned it being steep and that feels like putting it lightly. it was farther and way steeper than expected and very overgrown so it didn’t feel safe to keep going and we only made it halfway down. Was hoping to

Warning- if you are booking this cabin because you are wanting to be near the river, this is not the place for you. Technically it is waterfront, but it is definitely a treacherous minimum 7 minute walk that is not for the faint of heart and certainly not for older people or younger children. Vacasa suggests using a nearby road to get down to the river, which we did, however, we were very disappointed as this is a very treacherous road and you could easily slip off the sides, even in a 4 x 4 with a very experienced driver. The property does have beautiful views. It was a very clean cabin that was well stocked, and the beds were comfortable. The property works if you’re not planning on spending time viewing or visiting the river and if you don’t need consistent wifi.

The cabin was as described, the trip was relaxing. It was a getaway for father's day for dad to get some relaxation and fishing in; when I booked the pictures online indicate it is a short walk to the river, unfortunately that is not the case, the path to the river is very, very steep and our group consisted of both older as well as young adults the steepness cause for concern regarding both groups; the branches over the deck where one fishes from is out grown which took several lures when trying to cast the line. I did take note of a previous visitor regarding the availability of towels and wash cloths, and reached out to the company whom did state just give them a call if more than one towel per person is not enough. Since we use a new towel each day, I just brought our own towels and wash cloths to equal fresh towels and wash cloths per person per day. We will no rebook this location, but that's us. Enjoy your stay..
