Dog Friendly, Oceanside, Hot Tub, Oversized Decks, Easy Beach Access

The house was roomy and comfortable and very clean! The location was great as well! We loved our week here!

Everything was so nice and plenty of space for 5 adults and 4 kids. Beds slept great. The kitchen was well supplied with dishes, pots, glasses and all other kitchen items needed. Loved the 2 1/2 bathrooms. There are only 3 things we were no happy ith. 1. There were 3 lg roaches found in kitchen, deck and living room. 2. My daughter wanted to use an extra pillow to prop up her legs because they were swollen, and there was dried blood stains on the extra pillows. 3. Everything was spotless but our feet got dirty everynight we were there from the living room floor. Other than those 3 things, everything was great. Thank you.

A Bright Spot was a lovely beach house for our large group to stay in. There was a kitchen table large enough for everyone to sit around for dinner and best of all there were tons of seating options in the living space :)The beds had linens and several comfy pillows to choose from which is great because everyone has different preferences for pillows. The walk to the beach was super easy and didn't involve crossing any main roads which was great! The hot tub was nice and secluded on the side of the house and the outdoor shower downstairs was always amazing after a day on the sand. The kitchen was a little outdated (dishwasher was starting to rust inside and pans had Teflon scraping off of them) but that seems to be the norm at beach houses in the outer banks. The wi-fi was also pretty slow, a few of us were trying to work from home and wound up using our own phones as hot spots. The wi-if was able to stream movies on the TV though so it was still good enough for the average group on vacation. We also had muffins and scones across the street which has free w-if and delicious food so that was also an option to use for working. Overall we had a great stay at this home and would recommend to others for a group beach trip :)

The house was perfect for our group and just as described! It was comfortable, clean and communication was simple and easy! We had a wonderful time reconnecting with our family. The beach was a short walk from the house with easy access. Overall, a wonderful experience and vacation! Thank you!!!

We had a fantastically relaxing vacation with our family of 6 which included our grown children and their s/o and our little dogs. The bedrooms and beds were very comfortable. The AC worked well. Water pressure in the showers was good also. The Avon Beach was close and inviting. We enjoyed walking on the sandbar at night with flashlights to look at crabs, shrimp, fish and hermit crabs. Walking to the muffin and scone shop was delightful in the morning. We had a delicious meal out at Pangea The dishwasher and microwave worked but could use a replacement soon. Overall A Bright Spot was a great place to relax and unwind.

Good Morning - we had a wonderful experience at A Bright Spot. House was true to the description, clean when we arrived. We had clogged drains(2) issue that was fixed with in 24 hours. I do believe there may be a problem with the light over the kitchen sink. I does not work all the time. I thought it may be the bulb, but that was changed when the drains were unclogged. Sometimes the light came on and sometimes it did not. I also would like to mention the employees I dealt with at Shore Details were so courteous and helpful.

We vacation at OBX every year, but this was our first time to bring a dog and A Bright Spot was the perfect house for our family. The house was clean with a well-stocked kitchen and plenty of space for 8 adults. The beach and dunes were an easy walk from the house and the hot tub was the best way to unwind after a long day. Avon and Haterras have a lot to offer without the noise and traffic of other OBX towns. We plan to return! Thank you, Shore Management!
