Lovely property. Comfortable, well appointed and fantastic location if what you are looking for is a quiet spot, with views of the ocean which is just steps away.

Location was awesome! Beach access perfect! The home was not very comfortable. Only 2 wine glasses and not set-up for visiting. Everything very dated and the quality of sheets etc was just OK. No dressers and nowhere to put luggage. Not a house we would look for again but would stay knowing what we know.

Property was older than represented by pictures. The review I sent to VACASA itemized several safety issues…mostly regarding lighting issues. A stairway in the house with no lighting, a bathroom with no direct lighting in tub area & in kitchen, one overhead light with poor lighting that did not cover countertops & no light over stove.

Location is the key. This house is somewhat tired but we were fine. We were there three weeks. We were happy to bring our dog. The beds were comfortable. The couches need to be updated/cleaned. But overall, it's nice to walk out and be at the beach.

Great location but feels like management needs to pay more attention to the details. Rockaway Beach is the best place to stay on the north OR coast and this is a great, quiet neighborhood. The hot tub and beach access were great. The beds and sofas upstairs were comfy. Now for the downsides: downstairs, including laundry, game room, and kids bedroom smelled like mildew. Clean towels quickly smelled mildew too. There was sticky residue in the fridge. There was toilet paper and paper towels provides but they were the cheaper and thinnest variety. Some dishwasher and laundry detergents provided, but not enough for our three night stay. This property was managed by Vacasa. It was noticeable different that the three other VRBOs we just rented that were managed by owners. Downstairs shower was also hard to operate.

Great house with a wonderful view and access to the beach. We only wished for more dishwasher pods. There were four provaded and we were staying for six days.

This is a great spot for access to the beach. Wonderful amenities like fireplace and hot tub. Bunk beds and game room would be great for kids.Stairs to main living area are a bit steep for anyone with access issues. We had a great stay.

There is a 3 star review about the house from Ana G that I saw after we made our reservation and before we came down to the house. I specifically emailed to say the review had raised concerns for me and I wanted to know if the issues had been addressed (torn screens, worn out towels and sheets). I got a response from Owen B that all the issues has been addressed. But..that was not the case. The house is comfortable, the heat and wifi work well. But the towels are thin and rough, the sheets are old, not at all soft, and covered with pilling, and the screens were still torn. It turns out there were supposed to be brochures on a table in the living room - but they weren't there. It feels like the house gets a slap and a promise cleaning but there is a lack of someone really taking care of it. When we pulled up, I noticed that there is a letter missing in the sign Aliyah's retreat. It struck me that it was missing and that is what it all feels like - not enough attention to detail and upkeep and no accountability for making sure things are in place - like repaired screens, local info, and new towels and sheets. The location is 5 star for sure and it would be so great if the house was as well. The kitchen appears to be well stocked and most things were OK but we noted no salad spinner, veggie peeler that was so dull it was unusable and the knife we tried to use instead was no better. If you reserve the house, be prepared to find only one ounce of Dove shampoo, on

The view and beach access are perfect! The house is older and feels/smells old. Landscape is wild but we enjoyed being tucked away from the traffic and people.

Aliyah is in a nice quiet neighborhood bordering the beach. Access to the beach is on a path right off the back deck with a short walk to the actual beach. The hot tub off the back deck is a plus though it would have been nice to have a wind break as it is out in the open. If you want to use the fireplace, you will need to bring kindling and paper, though there is a large supply of firewood in the downstairs closet. The beds and couches were quite comfortable and there were box fans in the two upstairs bedrooms. Neither bathroom has ventilation, though the upstairs one has a window. The friend who stayed downstairs complained about a mildew smell which also could be because of no ventilation in the bathroom or laundry area. The dryer wasn't working but I had received a message prior to our trip advising of that fact. The staircase has shallow steps so we took the path on the right side of he house to access the doors off the back deck when taking our suitcases to the 2nd floor. The rug in front of the 2nd floor sink needs to have a skid proof backing as I slipped on it. It would be nice to have a griddle in the kitchen for pancakes. The cookware was rather worn but there was a large selection of spices. It was nice to sit on the back deck and watch the sunset.
