Stayed Nov 7, 2025The house was pretty clean but it is in need of a deep clean and updates. The little things that were dirty or broken add up. Mattress in second bedroom upstairs was sunken in, if you looked under the bed you can see a huge dip in the mattress. Also, I found dirt in the bedsheets the first night. There were 4 lightbulbs out over the pool table. The master bathroom shower head was dirty and rusty. There was a huge stain on the outside couch. The deck and outside chairs needed a power wash, there was mold growing and plastic chairs were getting dry rotted. The chemical dispenser in the hot tub had algae or mold growing on it. We couldn’t get the TV in the master bedroom to work, and it would be nice to have newer and larger TVs throughout the house, especially in the living room. Despite needing updates, the cabin was beautiful and the views were breathtaking. The drive up the mountain can be sketchy because it is steep and the roads are narrow in places. Meeting another vehicle required me to reverse down the steep hill at one point, so I would recommend AWD and someone who is confident driving on mountain roads. For the price, I expected the cabin to be more updated. If the things listed were fixed, I would definitely book again.

Stayed Oct 4, 2025The cabin had a beautiful view and was clean. The only drawbacks were that the grill didn’t work (never got hot enough to cook the meat done), the hot tub water looked brown/discolored, and the road to the cabin was very scary (one tiny lane).

Stayed Jul 25, 2025My family and I loved this property! There were 2 adults and 3 kids (ages 8-13) and we had plenty of space to lounge without getting in each other’s way! The view was absolutely beautiful and I enjoyed the majority of my time on the rocking chair in the screened-in porch! The house had everything a family needs for their stay! Pots, pans, baking sheets, coffee maker, plates/silverware and cups/mugs for 6. There were not a lot of leftovers from other people’s stays, so we had to supply a lot of the seasonings and condiments we needed. The drive up is an adventure, to say the least. The cabin is about a mile up the mountain and it can get very steep in some places. We have a Chevy Traverse and made it up with the occasional sliding of tires. I would highly recommend a 4WD vehicle! We only drove in beautiful, dry weather, and I’m extremely thankful we didn’t have to go up or down in any rain! Most of the roads are wide enough for 1 car and made of dirt/gravel and there are LOTS of bumps along the way! The house is a perfect location on the mountain, about 600 ft off the main road so you don’t see the neighbors, but you can hear them when you’re sitting outside. The house is closed in by trees so you feel alone and we saw lots of deer close to the house! We brought my 2 dogs with us and they did so good! The furniture is mostly leather with hardwood floors throughout the cabin so we didn’t worry too much about scratches! We absolutely loved staying here and will be back!!

Stayed Jul 18, 2025We enjoyed our stay at this mountain cabin. Vacasa was very responsive to all our questions, even late at night. Only complaint was the check in time was later than most places (4:00pm) and check out was earlier than most places (10:00am). Getting to the cabin was a little challenging when it rained during our stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This was our third stay in this cabin. The roads are rough going up and down the mountain, but the cabin is so peaceful and the view is picturesque. You may even get lucky and see wild animals in the field. Perfect place for our family getaways and making memories with our children and grandkids. Not too far from trails, restaurants and several towns. I want to thank the owners for sharing their piece of paradise with us (including our dog).

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This home is beautiful and almost all the amenities are great! The view from the fire pit is unmatched. The hot tub was wonderful. The game room downstairs wasn’t used by my parents and I, but had the rest of my family been with us it would have been fantastic. The fireplace in the living room upstairs we could not get to work, because it operates via a remote and the remote was no where to be found. This was disappointing. The home was clean and the beds were comfortable. Our main concern with this property was the downright terrifying roads you must deal with to get up to the house and the horrible directions that got us lost in the mountain neighborhood for 1+ hours. When you turn off the main highway, 5/76, onto the dirt road at the church, TURN OFF YOUR GPS. It will lead you the wrong way and up the mountain through the steepest, narrowest, most pot hole ridden “roads” we’ve ever encountered. My dad has a 4WD Chevy Silverado and we were scared we wouldn’t make it and/or would slide off the edge and down the mountain or lose a tire in the body-sized pot holes. We had to stop twice to ask local neighbors if they could help us find this house. The first couple were nice, but steered us the wrong way and we ended up back at the beginning of the loop(s) where we started in this vast mountain neighborhood area. We went the opposite way the GPS was directing us and the 2nd local neighbor we stopped to talk to helped us find the correct road to go up (not named on GPS and no street sign labeling it). Once we FINALLY found the driveway, we had to hope and pray we could make it up! The absolute steepest, narrowest near-90 degree turned driveway we’ve ever seen. Thank the Lord it is paved! Once we got up to the house my dad realized there was probably no way to turn his 20 ft truck around because there wasn’t enough room. He thought he would have to back all the way down the long, steep, narrow driveway every day for a week. After calling Vacasa and finally getting in touch with the property manager, Nicole, she explained to us that the only way to turn around to get out is to do a 3/5/7/9 point turn at the point in the driveway where the very steep near-90 degree turn is, there is also a small space dug out of the mountain you can back into. It was extremely difficult and stressful to get up to and leave out from this house once every day. We also had to make sure to be back well before dark each afternoon/evening, because having to face those roads and driveway in the dark would be a death wish. We absolutely loved the house and the gorgeous view and the amenities, but we will never be back solely due to the terrifying route from highway to house.
