This house has a lot of room! It's located between Estes Park and Lyons and is an easy drive to both! The kitchen is stocked with all the cookware and table settings you could need throughout your stay, as well as modern appliances that were in working order. As a bonus, there are plenty of seasonings and spices available, which makes it easy to grocery shop, knowing you'll only need main dishes and sides. The beds are comfortable with plenty of extra blankets and pillows if needed. Everything was well stocked. The light switch placement is odd and there is not a lot of overhead lighting in a couple rooms, so acquaint yourself with lamp locations, but this did not detract from our stay. The app and in-home rules have a couple discrepancies and should be reviewed and reconciled. We will definitely look at this property for our next trip. Thank you to the owners and property manager for keeping this place available for travelers like us!
It was ok. Had some issues. First impression, place looked abandoned, due to 3 ft high weeds in the yard. Inside was nice though. Great, quiet location. Property had limited lighting. Dining room no overhead lights, only a “candle chandelier”. But Vacasa doesn’t allow candles or gas lamps to be used. Dining room rendered useless in the evenings, because it was too dark. No outside, bear proof garbage cans. No extra propane bottles for grill. Master bed was very comfortable, kitchen was well stocked. Vacasa is NOT local, so when communicating with them, they said they would let the “local rep” know. Stay ended before any issues were resolved, hope they get fixed before the next visitors.
Absolutely loved everything about this place. 30 min drive to get your grocery stores as others had said but nobody said it's absolutely the best 30 min drive of your life. Our stay was during this extreme hot weather and a cabin with no AC was really worrying us. Not a problem was 48 on top of the mountain and 94 in Denver. Another big surprise was the cabin its in Roosevelt national Forest there are no boundaries to Rocky mountain national Forest step out back it's there elk ,moose ,mule deer , bear.and much more. The cabin is definitely cozy comfortable and inviting.
Clean, spacious, comfortable. Within minutes of trailheads, and tucked into mountains of the National Forest. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Lots of family history and great little library in the house.
You’re in the mountains.
Great cabin for family with kids. Hike to top of property or playing in stream across the street were welcomed additions to the ample supply of games and toys in the house. Easy to sleep and within 30min drive if either Estes Park, RMNP, or Lyons/Boulder. Home was well furnished - overall pleased.
This home was definitely unique, but in a good way. When we first arrived, I was not very happy to realize that there wasn't any central air (I didn't pay attention to that when looking over the amenities). BUT, once we opened windows, I quickly realized why there was no AC....it wasn't needed. The weather and temperature was wonderful. I loved being able to sit out in the patio area any time during the day, and not sweat. This was definitely a nice rental home and I highly recommend it.
The cabin was in the perfect location, close to Boulder and Estes Park. We were impressed by how clean and well stocked the cabin was! It also was very roomy and felt like home away from home! Definitely will come back!
There is so much positive to say about this property. Well stocked kitchen. Beautiful outdoor eating/sitting area. Beautiful attached forested acreage that backs up to national forest. Very comfortable king size bed. (I brought my own pillow). Some negatives: We weren't able to get into the lock box with the code given because it was incomplete. Our party member who had Verizon (TMobile has no coverage there) contacted manager (they could only give us the incorrect/imcomplete code). Although stressed, we figured it out ourselves through experimenting with and adding a number. Once inside, we were disappointed in the bedding situation. The two beds in a separate bedroom shown in the photos of the listing in a separate bedroom were locked up and we were told they were not included with our reservation. Adults were to sleep on mattresses shortened dramatically by vertical blinds going over the mattress. Additionally, there may be some serious electrical issues. When we plugged in a fan by the door to get some air moving, the lamp on another wall/plug came on. When we turned the fan on, the lamp rapidly blinked on and off. When we turned the fan off, the lamp was on solid again. When we unplugged the fan, the lamp turned off. Also some issues in the master bath (with no window or ventilation). Ventilation fan not wired or doesn't work. Three way light switches don't work. Only the light switch located under the towel bar on the far wall works. And only one towel bar. Hardwood flooring in bathroom slippery when wet. I hope they fix these issues. The location was great.
The cabin was beautiful, spacious, and immaculately clean. The décor, lovely Colorado rustic. The cabin had every possible amenity I could need, want, or even think of. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need to cook anything. Both indoor and outdoor dining areas are available, as is outdoor grilling facilities. There are several benches and a porch-style swing behind the cabin. There is central heating, as well as a space heater and fan. And laundry facilities, too. If you don’t feel like making the short drive to one of the lovely nearby hiking spots, just walk out the back door. I spent about 90 minutes just hiking around the property.
