Dog-friendly lakefront getaway with dock, firepit, wet bar, game room, & AC

It's a great location and an excellent house for large families. Home was very clean and spacious. Communication with the property manager was great! My only recommendation to the owners would be to do some maintenance. Some things were minor (like the kitchen faucet not properly working) and others were almost dangerous (like one off the sliding doors coming off the tracks). Also the years could use some better care but hey, you're there to hike & fish, right? Overall a great time but for the price we expected those finishing touches like other VRBO properties we've stayed at.

Napping Bear Lodge is a nice, large comfortable house that worked great for our family reunion vacation. It is situated right on Voyager Lake with a nice pier. We enjoyed having access to the two kayaks and fishing off the dock. We rented a pontoon boat from Boat Sport Marina which is very close by. Good access to Eagle River and boating to the other lakes.

The property was lovely, very secluded! Very clean!

I highly recommend this home in Eagle River. Location and amenities are great. Close enough to town that you can get there easily, but still far enough away that it is peaceful.

Great time, very comfortable house

Big house, sleeps 13 comfortably, big yard, lakefront, tranquil area, very well-kept and clean. A true luxury accommodation for a fair price.

The house was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. We had a wonderful time. The only real issues were the lack of cleats on the pier to tie up the boat, made it a lot more work to secure the boat. Also the sliding glass doors to deck were very difficult to move and the kitchen faucet was a huge pain; hard to get the water hot and then hard to get it completely off. That being said, it is a great place and the fishing off the pier was terrific.

We loved our stay at Napping Bear Lodge. There was plenty of space for our group of 12; both indoors and out. Customer service staff was very helpful when we had a plumbing issue, sending an individual to fix the issue very promptly.

We had 4 families stay in the house with 2 dogs. Families consisted of grandparents and siblings with kids. They did have a pack n play and high chair for kids. The description was very accurate of what to expect. It was very clean, very spacious, and great view. Also, we found out the last day the canoe in the great room lights up- be sure to check that out! It is also nearby Eagle Lake which is a nice big lake. Some things to note if you are bringing dogs they do need to be leashed at all times. There is not really a swimming entry by the lake- you still could swim just steep bank to get down and rocky in the lake. Last, the driveway is just as it shows in the picture it is not longer so if you are bringing any trailer just be aware of that. We were able to fit a boat trailer and truck length wise, but that put the front of the truck almost to the road.

Our experiences was very good. It was our first getaway with all of our families together and everyone was very happy. The house was beautifully set up and accommodated the whole family including a high chair and playpen/bed for babies. There were only a couple of comlaints. The dishwasher was hard to figure out,The screen doors did not work the best, .and not enough garbage bags. All in all it was a great stay! Fantastic location!
