Dog-friendly house with ocean view, pool access, washer/dryer, & tennis court

This place was great! It has a close proximity to the beach and was well maintained.

In short: Overall we enjoyed our stay, especially the location, but the reviews are accurate it needs some TLC, notably one bathtub and the kitchen sink were very slow draining, and the dishwasher didn't work.The Good: we really liked the house layout and overall were comfortable and happy. The proximity to the beach access is great. we really enjoyed the porches. House and rooms were clean upon arrival. The living room is comfortable for a group to visit or play games, which we did.The Bad: There are only 2 showers, one of which was not draining so you shower in standing water and for 8 people that was not great. The kitchen sink also seemed clogged/slow draining, and the dishwasher was broken, which we found out the hard way and handwashed everything the whole time, which was yucky with a poorly draining sink. Saw a couple roaches at night but that is expected to some degree in a beach house. The yard is small but felt neglected, needed to be trimmed and cleaned up. There was some gross chocolate or something on the deck stairs left by a previous guest that should've been hosed off. Our group was young adults used to camping so we were pretty adaptable but I imagine another party might be less happy.We really liked the layout and setup of the place so if the plumbing and other misc. issues were fixed, and it was thoroughly cleaned inside and out, we'd happily stay there again.

The close beach access is nice. Remember though, this is Avon and you still have to contend with a dune to get out to the beach. But, 4x4 access is close by, which was is nice. The house has some updates, the new deck and counter tops are nice. There is some water damage in parts of the ceiling, but hey, it's a beach house. It could use a deep clean under the beds, furniture, etc. But it was clean enough when we arrived. Having the TV up in the loft instead of the main living area is a great idea. It keeps the sound at bay when the kids are in bed. Bring a gate if you have Littles and the loft can be a great play area, as well. Could use some better pans and cooking utensils. The neighborhood was quiet. We had a great time and would stay again.

Nice home in a great location. Clean but needs a little work, but not something that would make us not return!

Waking Dream has a lot of space and is perfect for a family or several couples. We loved the open floor plan on the second floor and numerous porch views. Plenty of room to spread out. The ocean is close by, parking is perfect with room to clean off gear at the end of the day.

The location was great and close to stores and nearby restaurants. The public walkway to the beach was a plus as it was close to the house. Only improvement would need is the dining and livingroom area needed to be mopped clean as it had dog hair as I was barefoot and had hair on my feet. I had no dog with me and good thing I was not allergic to dogs nor my kids. I was able to locate a vacuum to vacuum the areas all over to ensure no hair and dust. Also was a small piece of glass shard that was in livingroom but good thing i saw it when sitting down from sunlight hitting it. Could have been a disaster if my kids or me stepped on it. The pest control needs to be improved as we killed 2 small cockroaches near the kitchen sink area and spiders in one bedroom. The cooking utensils and pots and pans were enough for our needs. It was great to have extra towels as not a lot of rentals offer that many towels so that was what made overall stars 4 vs. 3. Decorations were a bit outdated but we didn't spend too much time at the house other than at night to wind down. The 3rd floor deck overlooked to an ocean view so it was great to have coffee there at early sunrise.

Waking Dream was everything I expected and more. Very close to beach walkway. Amazing views of the ocean from the great room and front deck. Also great soundside view of sunset from screened in area. The kitchen was wonderfully equipped with everything you could need. The house was very clean throughout. We will definitely stay here again.

Just steps away from the beach. Nice house. Easy access. House needs many repairs as well as landscape, a lot of thorns in the ground which is not safe for kids.
