The house was very functional. Appliances, garage door opener, lighting, tv and such worked very well. However, the place is a bit worn. Towel bars, tp holders are loose. Sink fixtures are old, some sink stoppers don't work. Place could use a deep cleaning. Kitchen island has bar stools which are too high and uncomfortable. An Ace Hardware bucket up on a ledge under a water stain on the ceiling was interesting. I'm glad it didn't rain while I was there. Kitchen was stocked well with dishes, pans, silverware, etc. Bathrooms had plenty of towels. Patio sliding door's opener/lock needs an upgrade. Two car garage has a bunch of stuff in it, making it almost impossible to park 2 cars. Neighborhood is quiet except for some barking dogs which other reviews had noted. I am a dog owner so I didn't find the barking loud or annoying (4 bassets next door). The house is located in a nice area near the things I wanted to visit. Plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby. The decor is interesting. Old furniture and decorations. The tv area could use some end tables. I felt that the price I agreed to was too high after staying there, but for reasons that can be fixed.
Property mgr does not communicate through vrbo. Rude and hung up on me twice. My son was having surgery. Needed to check in 2 hrs early. Even a supervisor said NO. Not rented few days before. Rude. They texted me at noon next day and too late I was forced to make other arrangements. Other than that house was great and worked for us. Dog friendly is a plus. .
OK
Was bigger and better than we expected
We had a great stay at this home! Although it was a bit warm we were able to sit outside in the beautiful back yard and enjoy the amazing views of the Catalina mountains. The kitchen had everything we needed to make dinners every night. We would definitely stay here again!!
This lovely home has so much going for it. Location, spaciousness, quiet (although there are some barking dogs, but I never heard them after 8:00 pm), a great floor plan, and all the conveniences of home. Highly recommend!
This property is managed by Vacasa, a property management service. Be aware that if you try and communicate with them through VRBO they will not acknowledge your communication. I needed to push the trip back by one night and because I booked it through VRBO I message them to cancel, well within the cancellation period. I never heard back and when I spoke with the property manager she said they never received the message, it's in my VRBO inbox and I did receive a confirmation message that they received it. The house is spacious and having an office was nice because I worked remotely part of the time we were there. The beds were comfortable and the AC works very well. However, the house was not very clean. There was dust and cobwebs in the corners, the patio furniture was covered in spider webs, dirty dishes in the cupboards and there was a fecal stain on the wall under the toilet paper roll in the second bathroom. I did report this to the management company and all they said was that they would speak with housekeeping. The is a little dated and run down. It definitely needs paint, the vents on the ceiling are very dirty and the showers are permanently stained so they look dirty. The house is in a very nice neighborhood that seems very safe. It is a bit of a drive to do anything in Tucson but you're out more near the mountains and it is quiet with beautiful views. I did complain about the neighbor's dogs. They barked non stop from 5am on and it was a huge nuisance. This was taken care of and the dogs stopped barking. Overall the house was nice and met our needs but I would probably stay away from staying in a vacasa owned property again.
This property is roomy, well laid out and very well equipped; very suitable for a few days of R & R in a quiet area. The back yard, which is also home to several quail, some humming birds and a finch family, is also quite comfortable, especially during the latter part of the day when that patio becomes shady in the day's heat. The lemon tree provided a bountiful supply of fruit in late April. Some others have commented on barking dogs in the neighborhood, and although evident, we did not find the barking to be a nuisance. We give this property a strong recommendation.
This is an exceptionally clean and well furnished house in Oro Valley only a couple miles from Catalina State Park. The kitchen is very well equipped and all appliances were in good working order. There’s a small park only a block away.
