Cozy home. A dock on the canal and it would be perfect.

First time at Holden Beach and we had a blast! The house was clean and Vacasa made the process so easy! The public beach access was a short walk away from the house too. Our favorite part of the house is the screened in porch to relax with the family and pups too;
Nice beach cottage with a little extra room than the standard 4 bed 2 bath set up. Did not notice any smoke smells in the house, as mentioned previously in other reviews. The screened in porch with the ceilings was glorious! Lots of seating and room to spread out both in and out.
The house was nice in many ways. Close to the beach, good layout, well stocked kitchen, wonderful dining table. The unfortunate part was upon entering the house there was a strong smell off cigarettes. After a day or two it did subside. We bought candles and cooked a lot. I think that helped. The hardest part for us was that we did not have a working dryer the entire week. We really struggled without it and was very frustrating. They responded quickly with a work order and sent someone out within hours but he said the part would be ordered but didn’t know when it would arrive. We never heard back from anyone. The house was tidy but not cleaned well when we arrived. Still sand in the tub, needed to be dusted, a broken toilet paper roll laying on the floor, a non working tv in one of the 4 rooms. We had a great week despite it all but these are most definitely things that need to be addressed for future renters. Also, the close line was rotted out. When we found it we were excited, hung our clean clothes and they all fell in the dirt :( A few fixes and this house could be much, much better.
I love the house, we have stayed there before, but this time it was not as clean as last time, dirty towels left on the porch, mix up about if we getting clean towels or not, chairs on porch chewed up by someone else’s dog, had to call about wrong key and broken toilet handle and few other things and rugs were dirty, not sure if I will stay again
I would never use Vacasa in any city again.
