Dog-friendly home near the beach with beach gear, gas grill & washer/dryer

Check-in was easy. Kitchen was stocked. Loved the house

We had a great experience at our rental home! It was clean and had everything we needed. Manager was quick to respond to a question we had about beach access. Easy access to everything and the fenced backyard was wonderful to allow our dog to have time outside safely. Great place to stay!

This was our second trip to SGI and first stay at Sunset at Joe’s. The lot is beautiful, huge, and fenced in (perfect for our dog). The kitchen space, 2 updated bathrooms and screened in porch were other highlights of the home. Directions to the beach could have been clearer (thank you to a previous review for detailing that out). Once we figured it out, it was a sandy 5 minute walk. Only real con: the master bedroom bed was less than comfortable. Could definitely use a new one. Thank you for sharing your home. Looking forward to coming back again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home is large, has a separate bathroom for each bedroom and a nice updated decor and well appointed kitchen (although no condiments or spices - not even salt and pepper). Our only request is that the listing and in home instructions should be more clear on how you access the beach. Do NOT walk between the houses directly across the road as that is private property and there is an environmental impact from tramping on dunes. If you cross the road to walking path and turn right you will find a public access path (not marked) which passes next to a pink house. The walk to the beach was 5-10 min. Once at the beach it was absolutely beautiful, very quiet (although we were early for the season) and for 2 of days we had nice waves which the kids thoroughly enjoyed. This is clearly not beachfront but the price reflects that and also includes a wonderful fenced yard if you have dogs. We are considering returning for another stay.

Overall great stay. Property is represented accurately. We had to call resort properties to figure out where the beach access was located. A map in the house would be helpful. A few more towels without having to request them would be helpful as well as a throw for the couch. We did experience some minor issues, however maintenance was responsive and there was good follow-up by property managers.

We have been coming to St George Island for 40 years and have stayed in many properties but have to say we love Sunset at Joes. We brought our 2 small dogs and the fenced yard without stickers was a huge plus. The house is so large and spacious, clean, and has everything you need in your HomeAway from home. We plan to book our 2021 trip at this property. It does not disappoint ???

Great house, great yard, especially if you have dogs. Beach access is a bit of a trek and was not clear when booking. Well equiped and well maintained property.

The house was spacious and the living area was very comfortable. Check in and check out procedures were not very clear, the kitchen was not well equipped for cooking - make sure you bring anything you might need - like salt and pepper! Also, the king size bed mattress was very uncomfortable - very, very soft. The porch is lovely. The home is in a wonderful location, comfortable living space and layout of the home.
