Stayed May 5, 2025Fantastic place! Just note, very steep stairs to beautiful upstairs bedroom. If you can handle that, it is well worth it ! Great coastal getaway!

Stayed Jul 6, 2025My stay was delightful. The home is comfortable and clean. You can’t beat the location as it is private and peaceful. I had a challenging time figuring out the front door lock code and initially couldn’t. I resorted to retrieving the key from the lock box and then had a challenge unlocking the door with the actual key. I think it would be helpful to clearly state the actual directions to use the code on the door lock keypad from start to end as everyone is not familiar with this type of keypad. Once I retrieved the key, unlocking the door was not as simple as one would think. Once again, not everyone is familiar with that type of lock. I spent 20 minutes attempting to unlock the door and once I finally did, I didn’t lock it when I would leave the premises for fear of not being able to gain entry again. The Vacasa rep came over for another issue and she was very helpful with the door lock instructions. The listing stated that there was a grill and what I found was a portable rusted out gas grill alongside the home. There was a charcoal grill a small Weber Smokey Joe and the rack that holds the charcoal was missing. I brought two racks of lamb to grill for my friends and I. I expected to have a decent full sized gas grill to use but managed with the lower rack from the new charcoal grill that the Vacasa rep brought over.

Stayed Jul 26, 2025Across the street from the beach, the house offers surprising privacy and great sky watching from the upper deck. Lower deck and fire pit offer lots of places to gather.

Stayed May 10, 2025This pretty little home is located right across the street from the beach with a public access. Quiet neighborhood and the views from the large windows are gorgeous. The house is spotless clean and updated. It has such a warm and welcoming feel. Outside there is a nice deck and fire pit. Includes convenience like laundry and everything provided such as shampoos, detergent etc. I'm do glad we picked this one!

Stayed May 8, 2025The house was well cleaned but has a very strong odor that I will describe as musty and old. It is very off putting and the windows don't have screens, so opening the windows wasn't really an option. You get used to the smell but it will make your clothes smell. The beds don't have box springs and instead have plywood under the mattress. The furniture and decorations are old. The stairs to the upstairs are very steep. The proximity to the beach is a perk! It's just across the road.

Stayed Mar 6, 2025Daydreamer was the best home base for us to spend time learning about this part of the Oregon Coast. Location was everything because we could walk right across the street and down to Heceta Beach! My daughter enjoyed the view from the upstairs bedroom also and since she is still a youngster she could navigate the steep stairs well:). We enjoyed the well stocked kitchen area each morning for breakfast. We stayed from Thursday night until Wednesday morning so each day we headed out either north or south and then also spentTime in Old Town Florence as well. My daughter’s goal was to ride a horse on the beach and that was accomplished at C& M Stables on Saturday. We enjoyed some sunny afternoon reading on the upper deck and lower deck as well. We were lucky for early March and had some very nice weather!! We left a few things to come back in the future to do but we did the following: Heceta Head Lighthouse, Luna Sea in Yachats for fish and chips, Sea Lion Cave, Face Rock, and Thor’s Well and Spouting Horn. Soooo many great photos. We appreciate the timeliness of the electricity problem being fixed quickly so that the stay at Daydreamer would be comfortable: Vacasa and Ligjthouse Electrical (especially electrician Lance Hill) were awesome and so appreciated!! For your explorations of the Oregon Coast I can recommend Daydreamer at the Heceta Beach to be your headquarters for a beautiful stay!!

Stayed Sep 26, 2024Cute house & great location. Had a musty odor in main level and especially the main level bedroom when we got there. Opened window in bedroom on main level to air out but no screen so a huge spider got in. The house was very clean, so that was a plus. The tv definitely needs a soundbar. The recliner in the living room is pretty worn and needs replaced. We had a huge problem with the digital keypad lock on front door. It would not lock whenever we would go out to leave somewhere. It was a pain to say the least. Got a hold of someone through the Vacasa 800 number(Not Local) they gave me a code for a lockbox located on property. That key didn’t want to work either. The owner definitely needs a local contact instead of a company out of town that can help with maintenance issues.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Day Dreamer is a lovely getaway! It feels very private while being just steps from Heceta Beach. When we arrived, I kept saying things to my husband like ‘It’s adorable’ and ‘It’s lovely’! The outside furniture is thoughtful. The furnishings inside are very comfortable, including the upstairs bed. The hose outside was a nice touch so we could rinse our bicycles after a beach ride. The upstairs deck is amazing. The steps inside, while steep, did not seem as treacherous as I expected after reading other reviews. Minor ways to improve such as ensuring a clean tablecloth is on the kitchen table and fixing what seems to be a broken lamp on a table in the upstairs bedroom (in front of the window on a table). The lampshade was just resting on the light bulb so my husband fastened it as it should have been. Duct taped carpet underneath steps. Really, no major concerns or complaints. A lovely stay…thank you!

Stayed Jul 21, 2024If you are going to Henderson, the location of this house is amazing. Just across the street from easy access to a gorgeous beach. Because of high winds, we were glad to be across the street in a house with natural barriers. The street is not a main road so it's very quiet. About the house: -Great beds -It's managed by VACASA so you will be hit with fees from them and VRBO. Our fees for a 4 night stay were almost as much as the total nightly cost. -No dishwasher so the utensils, cups and things are only going to be hand-wash clean. We ended up rewashing many things and would have preferred to spend less time doing dishes on vacation. -There are so many knicknacks everywhere that were dusty and made the place feel cluttered. Strongly suggest the managers remove at least half the decorative stuff to give a cleaner feel and help out the cleaners. Including the rugs and drapes/curtains which are everywhere and felt dirty. -Extra blankets were in a big pile with other things in a closet so we werent sure how clean they were. -Dog hair all over couch. -Haphazard collection of spices, teas, and coffee likely collected from past guests -- not provided by management-- and jammed in an upper cabinet. -Washer smelled moldy and drier smelled like dog. One detergent pod provided for each day. Towels in kitchen smelled moldy. -As someone else said, the stairs up to the loft bedroom are more like a ladder than a flight of stairs. We hope all this helps!
