Dog-friendly cottage with private beach, screened porch, wood fireplace & AC

Perfect get away for a family of four (children are age 21 and 24). Clean, great location, with all of the amenities. Responsive host!

Great house for four adults and one dog. Super clean, easy access, kitchen updated with great appliances, including dishwasher. Kitchen well stocked, minimal spices, etc. Comfortable queen beds- Jack n’ Jill bathroom with only tub/shower being shared space. Comfortable living spaces with porch looking into nice wooded area where deer where seen. Two window air conditioners maintained the house comfortably in 90 degree weather. Lake Michigan only 5-10 minute walk - typical Michigan trail with tree roots occasionally over the dune to set of 70ish steps with rest landing built in. Beach equipment provided was in great condition- 4 backpack chairs, umbrella, and beach towels. Close neighbors were all friendly. This is a gem for small groups.

Wonderful neighborhood, great beach access, close to everything! This smaller home is perfect for a small family, my husband and son loved having a home base while spending time with our extended family in Lakeside. Beach ready with chairs, towels, and umbrellas. Good sized BBQ grill too. Wonderful week!

After reading some of the other reviews, I had expected a little less for this property. However, it exceeded our expectations! The house was extremely clean and well stocked. It is a cabin in the woods, so there is a slight stale smell that you get used to after 5 minutes. The house was stocked with everything you need for cooking and for going to the beach. The beach walk was 5-7 minutes, it was a a beautiful walk through the neighborhood and down the stairs to the lake. The beach is so beautiful and not packed since it is private to the homes. We had our dog with us and enjoyed multiple walks on the beach every day. We will definitely visit this cabin again, it was so relaxing and quiet.

It’s a cozy spot with ready beach access. Had an issue with the toilet which would not stop running, causing water to overflow.

We stayed a week and really enjoyed ourselves with our smaller dog. The location is what makes this house, can be dark inside even with all the lights on. Keep in mind there is no central air, no washer/dryer and no dishwasher. We. would stay here again but the price now doubled and we can do better renting elsewhere for the price with better amenities.

Listing is advertised having private entry to beach. I specifically asked where on property and told to drive 9 miles to nearby public beach. Discovered on last night there while on a walk the entrance is OFF property approx 1/2 mile away. Requested listing be corrected for future visitors and asked for a credit for false advertisement, was essentially told too late we already have your money. Terrible business practices! Cabin smelled musty and dingy, terrible lighting lends to old dirty atmosphere. Anyone looking at this please also note disruptive Amtrak train across highway runs on regular schedule.

First of all the property is close to Red Arrow Highway. Convenient but sketchy for kids & pets. Decor is retro? But clean. Beach is longer than 1000ft. You have to walk thru neighborhood & then hidden path with roots to get to the 70+ stairs. Cottages are close to each other. Wish air conditioner was in back bedroom away. As it was in back of house, quieter & shaded.

Front bedroom light fixture is hanging from ceiling fan by the electrical wiring. Back bathroom stool is not level and rocks.
