Contemporary in style, its spacious open-concept interior is perfect for families and groups.
Rest and relax at home or collect seashells and explore tide pools on Manzanita's beach, which lies two miles west. Head south to kayak, fish, and view wildlife in Nehalem Bay, or hike on seaside trails in Nehalem Bay State Park that give stunning cliffside views of the Pacific Ocean. Or, if it's shopping you're after, check out the gift stores and quaint boutiques in Neahkahnie Beach, which is just over two miles northwest.
This home is inspired by its natural surroundings, including a moss green motif, nature art, and spacious, private outdoor decks shaded by cedars. Throw a few logs in the living area's wood stove and settle in while a cozy fire warms the room. Catch an afternoon nap on either of the comfy couches or spread out even more on the adjacent brown leather sectional couch.
With an abundance of cutout windows, the living area is bathed in plenty of natural light filtered through the cool green of the cedar trees. From the living area, you can access the outdoor deck, where a gas grill awaits a summertime barbecue.
Speaking of dining, head back inside to whip up a fresh feast in the full kitchen, which offers modern appliances, ample counters, and varied cookware to assist in your culinary endeavors. Eat together at the nearby dining table, or take the meal onto the deck.
When it's time to call it a day, head to either of the two bedrooms downstairs or the primary bedroom upstairs to get the restful sleep you deserve. Up to six guests will sleep comfortably on queen-size beds in two of the rooms, and there's a comfortable futon mattress in the third sleeping space.
There are two full bathrooms, one on each level, which means nobody has to wait too long for a shower. Other amenities include WiFi and a washer/dryer.
Many fun day trips are possible from this home's great location. Sip acclaimed local wine at the Nehalem Bay Winery, or spend a day crabbing in the Nehalem River. You could also take a horse ride along the beach, or hike up to the top of Neahkahnie Mountain and take in the dazzling panoramic views from 1,600 feet above town.

The house was very nice, clean and comfortable in a quiet neighborhood. It would’ve been nice to have end tables in the living room and we couldn’t find any salt or kitchen wash cloths to wipe down the counters. Also the fans in the bathrooms need to be cleaned. We really enjoyed our stay there.
Functional, but nothing remarkable. The photos gloss over a somewhat dated interior and appliances/furniture. The kitchen had ants and there was an odd area near the kitchen where the carpet was water logged. The state of the dishware and cookware gave me a lot of extra, pre-meal cleaning to do. We would have used the grill, but along with the back patio, it was covered in yard debris. We swept, but ended up moving inside assuming we'd also have to clean the grill. It would have been nice if things had been swept prior to our arrival as it made it really hard to keep the carpet clean. The blinds leading to the back patio were a bit busted, but usable. The house itself is overall charming, with a good balance of space and a good woodstove that came fully stocked.
The overall impression of this property was positive. The place was very clean and very comfortable for our party of 6 and we stayed only one night. On the negative side, whomever ran the dishwasher last didn't finish the cycle, and water pooled inside leaving a nasty stench for us when we opened it. Also not a biggie, but black ants were quick to pop out the moment any food was left on the counter. For using the TV's, I recommend streaming from your phone or bringing your own streaming device since the TV's are outdated as slow. Those few things a side, our family loved the open layout, and privacy.
If you need a place to crash and just hop over to the beach, this house fits that just fine. Might be a little overvalued though. Description mentions modern appliances, but everything feels very dated at this point. Bbq and wood stove are listed as amenities but are unusable, BBQ starter was broken and the house didn’t contain any fire making utilities, bummer for our dinner plans the first night (also no salt and oil! Owner mentioned it’s for sanitary purposes but there are other spices there so I’m not sure how that makes sense). A little bit of water leaked from the fridge and there was a large wet spot on the carpet near the kitchen when we arrived. Also a few of the window blinds are broken. Overall a fine place to sleep, it’s clean and quiet, just might need to refresh some other areas of the house to justify the price they are charging.
The house is tucked in close to other houses but that was not a problem. I noticed the bathroom smelled like urine and realized it was coming from the shower curtain which had a yellow streak across it. I reported it to the property manager and they were quick to offer help. This place is nothing fancy, but a great location for having fun at the beach. As other people have noted it is pretty pricey when all of the fees are added. If you are lucky enough to be in town when kareoke from hell is happening at the San dune bar, do go! It is amazing live band kareoke that was honestly the best part of our stay!
By time all parties got their rental management cuts, the property cost more than double what we expected.
Inside clean and neat. Rear outside decks are good. Nice couches. Lots of toys for kids. Metal shield wall makes the space more private. Satelite TV. Limited storage. Almost no place to set a book or a drink. Miles from the beach.
The house was clean, comfortable and in a quiet neighborhood.
Good: House was very clean upon arrival, Great stereo in loft, Nice porches off of two of the bedrooms and outside the dining area Bad: No doormat was tough on a rainy weekend with the carpets, Small hot water heater, Steep stair to loft, Loft bed/pillows/bedding weren't very comfortable, Washer/Dryer are small, Lots of single use plastics Overall a bit spendy for the experience, but nice enough for the weekend
Good home base with all the basics, to then spend your time out exploring the coast.
Property was clean and easy to access had a great time
