If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The nightly fee ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.
The house was the cleanest house we have ever rented on Hatteras Island. The house and furnishings were very comfortable and the house felt like a home, not a rental. The location of the property was perfect for riding bikes and Kayaking to the sound and other canals. In other words, it was a perfect vacation and a lot of that had to do with the accommodations and friendly neighbors! Thanks to the owner for allowing us to stay in your home and for being a great neighbor!
We've rented this home about 7 times and wouldn't rent any place else. After renting 6 other local homes, this is definitely our favorite. Once we found it we won't try another.
Travis the owner is AMAZING. Having him as our neighbor could not have been any better. This review however is for vacasa... The pictures were incorrect i have screen shots of them and the emails i got. The listing said outdoor recreation and stated i would receive a separate email to get discount rentals. WRONG!! After several calls and emails they claim they do not do this. Again i have screen shots of everything. Then to beat all they changed the pictures after i questioned about the kayaks in the pictures. All the fees they charge and the hassle DO NOT USE VACASA!! SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.
The home was super clean and tidy!! We loved being on the water and being able to relax and unwind!! Would rent this home again!!
Vrbo turned into Vacasa. Ended up with inaccurate listing of amenities but they did refund us for our losses. Just need to make sure Vacasa is now on the same page with owners.
Steer 553 was perfect for our family! This was our first stay here but it want be our last. House was stocked with everything you need. The owner's where great to have next door. Beautiful place to stay on the canal!
I wish Vacasa would not be so vague about their request for reviews, and ask a few more questions about THEIR performance and my satisfaction, or in this case, lack thereof. The home itself is awesome. Been staying there many years. The owners are even more awesome than the home. 37 years dealing with Outer Beaches Realty, and Vacasa has owned Hatteras Realty for several years now??????? Vacasa has no clue what the long term vacationers to this Island want. This WAS an affordable place for middle class people to come and enjoy a week. We do not need all your fees for linen service, nor do we need to pay the $250 for free beach gear rentals! We already have what we want and need, and don't need your outrageous mark ups to sugar coat your alleged bargains. Why, Vacasa, do you not allow early check-ins? If a home is ready to be occupied, what do you have to gain by telling people who have traveled many hours that they must wait until 6PM to check in? Especially when the office closes at 5. Are we not worthy of confronting y'all face to face? We were told a week in advance that, being we know the owner of the property, and that he allowed us access early that they would check us in at 4PM. We arrived at the home shortly after noon. We had the vehicles unloaded, entire house set up, and even the crab pot baited and in the water by 2PM. I went back up to Avon to check in at about 4:30PM. After much confusion, I was told at nearly 5PM that the home was not ready yet! STAY AWAY FROM VACASA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will be screwed with the outrageous fees, the lies, and many conflicting e-mails regarding check-in/check-out procedures. Stay with one of the remaining locally owned realtors while renting on this Island! Vacasa, you have no idea about what Hatteras Island is all about!
A good location to relax with your family.
House was clean and very comfortable. Kayaks and corn hole made for a fun vacation.
