Great little stay, nice location. Closer to neighbor than expected, but it was freezing all weekend so we hung out inside. Would go back for sure
Cute property with horses & chickens. Perfect location to enjoy both downtown Eagle River & downtown Rhinelander. Quiet with a bar you can walk to & if you are snowmobiling you can pick up the trail from the property. There was no snow for New Years so we did some hiking, enjoyed or stay!
The house was very cute and our bed was so comfy I wanted to take it home! Tyler was very quick to answer any questions I had.
We rented this property to go hit several ATV trails. Had a very wonderful time.
We enjoyed the horses, chickens and pigs on the property. It was a great location for us to see different area in northern Wisconsin.
First off, I will say that the communication with the owners was great! Very quick responses. The location was convenient for our racing weekend at the speedway. The house was clean and spacious and the beds were very comfortable. I liked the added touch of having spare shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in case you forgot some, and also the coffee and filters. I brought some of my own cooking items, after contacting the owner and realizing they might not have what I needed. There were pots and pans, but they were pretty well used. They did the job, but that’s probably my only complaint. We will definitely look to stay here again if we end up this way again.
Tyler and Amy’s place was perfect for our family of four and our dog! We stayed 3 nights and had a great time. Our kids loved the playground on the property and being able to see their farm animals. We really appreciated Amy’s suggestion of renting a library pass for the local children’s museum. Their location is a short distance to the beach, local restaurants/bars, and downtown Eagle River. We’d recommend staying here!
We had the best time making memories at Sugar Acres. The property is beautiful, we loved the animals, and the house was clean and well equipped for all of our needs. Plenty of space to enjoy the yard cooking out, playing guitar, enjoying lawn games and taking all of the sunset pictures you could ever want. We enjoyed a small beach 3 miles away and there is a restaurant and bar within walking distance. Owners were very friendly and available for all questions. We would absolutely book another stay and are so grateful for the hospitality. Thank you!
This was such a nice place to be, while visiting family up north. Every morning we had a rooster’s special morning alarm to greet the day. The hens are beautiful and roam freely. The horses and pigs are friendly and are happy to come around to where you are, just be aware that the fences are electric. You might run into the owners as they come to feed the animals, but they won’t bother you. It’s nice to have someone available if you need something, and their communication via VRBO mail was prompt and excellent!! (They also have a super friendly dog named Potato, you can’t soon forget such a sweet face!! ) The open kitchen is charming, and you won’t even notice the neighbors, it all feels very private. We’d absolutely recommend Dee Dee’s Diner for a hearty breakfast, just a couple minutes away by car, or make your own breakfast using a perfect cast iron skillet! The littles might enjoy the outdoor play set. Our teen had an ample yard to practice softball, and our dog was delighted to have such a nice spacious place to hang out. The beds were comfortable, and you‘ll feel right at home on the huge sectional couch. We had family visit for dinner one evening of our stay, and easily made more table space with the use of one of the end tables, in the couches corner! If you need a place to stay in the Sugar Camp, Eagle River area of WIsconsin, we’d recommend coming here!
We enjoyed our stay at Sugar Camp. House was clean, Tyler was prompt answering text messages, and the location was great for us - we were in Rhinelander for an ice skating competition
