Had an enjoyable stay and not too far from main attractions like Luray Caverns. Plenty of restaurants nearby. The cabin was very nice, large space around the property for the dogs to get out. You will want to remember to bring insect repellent or else the gnats and mosquitoes are bothersome. It was plenty of space to relax and enjoy nature. The host was easy to contact and very accommodating. I would love to stay there again in the near future.

Wonderful place to disconnect! So peaceful! Loved listening to the babbling brook across the road while sitting on the porch swing. Well stocked with towels, dishes, all kitchen needs, even spices and condiments. Enjoyed an evening fire with fixings from the s’more basket left for guests. Very prompt responses from Daniel. Thank you Daniel.

Such a nice getaway! It was quaint and peaceful. We enjoyed coffee by the fire pit on the chilly mornings watching the sun light up the mountainside. Would definitely return!

We loved our stay! It's peaceful and the property was the perfect getaway. It's close to Luray for shopping/dining/entertainment but also perfect to just hang out there and avoid people lol. Also, so many cool places to go hiking within 10-20min drive! Would definitely return.

We loved our stay at this cozy old farmhouse! It reminded me of my great grandparents' farmhouse. It’s so peaceful and tucked away in the country, with a big yard surrounded by woods. We saw lots of deer while we were there, which was such a treat. The house had great hot water, heat, and air. The fire pit was perfect in the evenings with wood and chairs already provided, and the hosts even left s’mores ingredients! They really thought of all the little things, like shampoo, laundry detergent, and card games provided. They gave us clear directions so we wouldn’t get lost. The hosts were friendly and quick to respond. Thank you for giving us a place to enjoy coming home to each day after hiking and exploring the surrounding areas!

The property was perfect for our needs. It was clean, comfy, and full of small details that really made the place feel special. It was private, yet close to shops and towns. We appreciated how dogs friendly the house was and our two big pups had a great time.

Great location, very close to the Thornton Gap entrance to the Shenandoah Nat’l Park. Very clean. Pet-friendly so was happy to have our lovely dog come along. Great hikes as always.

Was looking for a quiet get away from the city, and this place delivered and then some. It was tucked away but close to everything.

Wonderful, clean house on a beautiful property! Loved the creek running alongside- so peaceful. This place had all essentials and more- even a cute basket of s’mores supplies, and a basket of tennis balls for the dogs! Thank you for being a pet-friendly rental. GREAT location to the park!!

My husband and I are lifelong hikers and birders, who have explored Shenandoah Park dozens of times, until recently staying inside the park. We finally decided to try to find a perfect base camp outside the park, and are so glad we did! Daniel was a terrific host, who offered outstanding service in every way. The house was clean, cheerful and cozy, and everything we needed was always exactly where we expected it to be. We had our 3 Mini Schnauzers with us, and if they could write their own reviews, they would be enthusiastic as well, they loved the big yard and the peace and quiet. They would definitely give it 4 paws up!I cannot recommend the Holler Hideaway enough, you will love it too!

We really enjoyed our the house. It was very nice, clean and cozy. We were happy that we had the opportunity to use the fire pit and appreciated the provided wood (and s’mores tools). So happy that a grill was available and the spice rack (wish we knew it was there prior our arrival). Truly enjoyed our stay.

The cabin is spacious and there was plenty of space for our family. The first bedroom is out in the open and the second is a traditional bedroom. There are not two traditional bedrooms with doors that you can close. The bathroom is on the bottom floor on the opposite side so if you have littles who get up and go in the middle of the night it is a little bit of a ways. There were TONS of stink bugs but that's the country right. The property is STUNNING. We saw multiple shooting stars, they had a wonderful fire pit and the creek was charming.

Super close to the Skyline Drive for great hiking and close to a bunch of really good attractions. Luray Caverns is a must. Absolutely beautiful. Nice, big, beautiful yard with creek on property. Host graciously provides s'mores to enjoy by the fire pit. Very private property. Enjoyed our stay. Would note that the bedrooms are upstairs and bathroom is downstairs. Also, would not recommend stairs for younger kids without supervision. Host was easy to contact for any question, very helpful and caring.
