Deep Water on the Blanco - Wimberley Riverfront, Minutes to Town, Main + Guest House, Hot Tub

Great place for our family to enjoy together! Plenty of space inside, so clean and well supplied for our comfort. The back porch swing and lovely yard and the river were so enjoyable!

This was a great house for our weekend getaway. The house was spacious for everyone and the backyard was the perfect spot to hangout!

Everything was good, enough space for kids to run around, cleanliness was nice no issues absolutely..

The kids had so much fun in the yard, fishing in the Blanco river and getting lost in the big house. We cook a fair bit and the kitchen had all the pots and pans and utensils you can imagine. So much fun

Everything was perfect! We couldn't ask for a better weekend. The house was very comfortable and accommodated our group perfectly

This was our second time staying at this house for our couples Valentine's retreat, and it was just as wonderful as the first. The location is beautiful, the home has tons of space, and it's always stocked with everything we could possibly need. The host is incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with, which makes the whole experience even better. We're already looking forward to staying here many more times in the future!

We loved all the places to gather, in small groups and large. The bedrooms are all distinct, comfy suites. Outside, the spacious lawn slopes down to the Blanco, a lovely place to watch the sunset!

House was large and well equipped. Lots of nice sitting areas. Lots of issues that distracted us including: no ac on when arrived and it took all evening to cool off, downstairs bedroom was very musty, lots of spider webs throughout, WiFi that was incredibly unreliable, hot tub that was full of sand and cold, lots of bugs in the house, wine cooler that never worked, freezer door was frozen shut, gas grill barely worked until we cleaned it, and the river had 6 inches of trash on the bottom that made swimming unpleasant and well, just not what we expected from a fine rental! Despite all that, our family had a great time together.

Graduation was early 10:AM on Friday 5/9/25. So my family was coming from all over Texas & we met @ the Deep Water house on the river night before. When all arrived it was wonderful to have our own bedroom & bathroom to go to. After staying in San Marcos most all day it was wonderful to just chill out on the porch or running down to explore the river.We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay at that beautiful old large home!!

The property is very nice and spacious. If you are sharing with multiple families it is very easy to spread out. The layout is kind of maze like and made finding all the bedrooms a longer task than expected - if arriving in daylight this would be easier but we arrived around 6:30 and there were no lights to find the front door or navigate around the house (would be helpful to have on a timer or at least leave on an external light since it’s on a backroad with no lights). Also some of the lights in the interior didn’t work or were non-existent. The host was very responsive to text messages, when we arrived there was a smoke detector chirping on the floor of a locked closest and they provided clear instructions to free us from the chirps! Great Wimberley location and we would rent again in the spring or summer.

The property was not maintained well. We ran across multiple issues during our stay. Even though I got immediate response over text , the solutions were not helpful. The problems we encountered are with smelling bedrooms, inaccessible garages, dirty patios, hot tub with dirty water which cannot be drained, bathrooms with dirty water running through the taps. Not worth the money we paid for a not well maintained property. Not recommending this at all.

The back yard is amazing with the river running by. The house is very large and the beds were comfortable. The house was an older house which I dont mind. What I did mind was the musty smell in the house, the water stinking of sulphur, a dirty hot tub that didntvwork, lught bulbs out
