It's an old house, but lot's of character. A few small issues, the plug in the bathroom didn’t work. Slippery shower mat in the tub. A fire pit, no chairs to sit on. There was plenty of space for the four of us. Comfortable beds. Dim lighting, but we made it work.

If you like a 100 degree house with no air conditioning and love to lose power during the day and night this is the house for you! Hopefully you don’t like to cook breakfast, lunch or dinner because if you use the toaster or oven you’ll lose power. Hopefully your kids don’t like movies at the end of a long day because the tv doesn’t work and when it’s plugged in, the power shuts off!

Perfect place for our girls weekend. Close enough to walk downtown and enjoy all the shops and restaurants.Owner was easy to work with and communicated check in process very clearly.

This place is cool. My wife and I stayed at this cottage with our child for a week while visiting her family. The combination of the funky decorating and location made for a unique and memorable experience for our family. Although the cottage is fairly old, it has all the elements needed to live comfortably for a week including cooking and laundry. A TV with streaming service is available, but it was actually more fun to browse the collection of CDs and DVDs on the few rainy days during our stay. Lexington had a festival going on during our stay (didn’t know this when we booked) and we were able to listen/watch live music right from the cottage. In the words of my wife, we made some core memories at this place. I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a historic cottage vibe in the heart of downtown Lexington while maintaining all the usual amenities. We would certainly come back for a stay in the future.

The location was perfect since we had friends at the marina - getting in/out of driveway was a bit of a challenge with cars parked close to the narrow drive. There were plenty of towels but no extra paper towel (barely a 1/2 roll when arrived and toilet tissue) - window in bathroom over shower could have been a little more private
