Cute Oceanfront House with Almost Private Beach 8 min to Downtown St Augustine

The very best thing was if course the DIRECT beach access and that’s what you are paying for! The house was very comfortable all in all and the kitchen was equipped adequately. I brought my own espresso machine, which helped. Other than daily breakfast in, we only cooked (fresh shrimp and smoked fish dip) one night.If you are a light sleeper, ear plugs are necessary to block out the road noise once you go to bed. The house is less than 50 feet from the busy Florida A1A and the turn out of the short driveway is quite exciting, since line of sight to the left is very limited. Other than that I highly recommend this listing.

Our third time staying and everything was great!

This is our third spring break at the property. Perfect size, good value, and comfy beds.

They are the penultimate host. Very accommodating, and welcoming. They made our stay wonderful, easy, and very enjoyable.

The cute octagon house is right on the beach with spectacular views! Loved the sunset. The ocean seemed very close to the house, but loved the sound of the waves snd the beach was great to walk on.

Our host made arrival, the stay, and departure easy. The home was very clean, the kitchen one of the best we’ve encountered,, and the general overall feel very calm and relaxed. All that said, the view of the ocean stole the show. For a couple of Midwesterners, we could not have asked for more. The only downside was the outdoor lighting on the street side. We arrived after dark, and it was difficult to see the house number and navigating the stairs took some attention. But this would not be enough to affect our five star rating. We would love to return. Thank you for sharing your home.

The location of the Blue Octagon house is perfect. You can just walk out to the beach and walk for miles. And the beach was very peaceful with only a few people occasionally strolling by. It was very relaxing to sit on the deck with coffee in the morning and a cocktail in the evening. The house has a well-equipped kitchen. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for showers in the morning. It is very conveniently located, with The Reef restaurant a short drive from the house with really good seafood. It is a very easy drive into St Augustine or to Ponte Vedra Beach where there is shopping and also restaurants. There's a nice Publix for grocery shopping a short drive from the house. Even though there are stairs in the front of the house, there's also a nice ramp that takes you into the back entrance, making it easy to bring luggage or groceries into the house without having to climb the stairs. Communication with the host was very easy and very responsive. We would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again! The host was extremely easy to work with and even helped us with an additional request. This location is everything. The beach feels private and secluded in the best way and it only took us about 12 minutes to get to downtown St Augustine for a fun evening out. We traveled with our 12 yr old daughter and dogs and this place was great for everyone. You also can’t beat the spacious deck and breathtaking sunrises!

The views are incredible. I woke up to the sunrise every day.

This was our second time staying in this beach house, and we loved it just as much as we did the first time! The location is unbeatable—right on the beach but away from public access, so it feels quiet and private without the crowds. At the same time, it’s just a quick drive to St. Augustine’s restaurants and entertainment, which makes it the best of both worlds.The house itself is spotless and stocked with everything you need, especially in the kitchen. The master bedroom has a phenomenal view—I could wake up to that every day! The bed was pretty comfortable, though I’ll probably bring my own pillows next time for personal preference.We also really appreciated that it’s dog friendly, which made the trip even more special for us.Overall, it’s the perfect beach getaway, and we can’t wait to come back again!

This is our 4th stay at this property. Jean the property owner is always so nice and quickly responds to any communication. We had a great weekend as always and will be back again.

We loved being so close to sand right outside the door. 3 bedrooms and 3 baths plenty of room. Full stocked kitchen. Close to all attractions and restaurants. The only negative I would say was the stairs down to beach were steep. Loved it overall will be back

Great location and gorgeous views of the ocean from just about every room of the house! Easy access to an almost secluded beach. Listing is a bit misleading - washer and dryer on “lower level” is actually a closet outside. To access, you will need to go down the steep front steps or down the deck in back. It was a bit challenging during inclement weather and at night. Few issues during stay but owner was very responsive.

My wife and I stayed at this amazing property for a our anniversary in September 2024. Such a unique beach house with sweeping ocean views. The home itself is laid out perfectly and was stocked with everything we needed. We spent the majority of the trip sitting on the huge back patio and walking our pup along the wide, lovely beach. Great location just outside the congestion of downtown, but still within a short drive. My wife and I love unique properties and this one did not disappoint...in a great way! We definitely plan on coming back!

Relaxing

We spent one week in the Blue Octagon. The rooms are well-furnished, with comfortable mattresses and bedding. The bathrooms are modern. The master bedroom overlooks the ocean. Kitchen is well stocked and view is spectacular! We loved the house! 4 of us and one dog. The back deck is a blessing with the gate. It allowed our dog to go on the deck without worry.

The house is as described and pictured with the modern updates. The kitchen was stocked with all necessities. We appreciated that it had beach chairs and umbrella to use. We loved that it was a quiet area of the beach, walking down the steps off the deck, and feeling almost like we had our own private beach. It was so worth it to not have to cross that busy highway to get on the beach!!If we come back to this area again, would definitely rent this house!

Absolutely incredible views and beach access. The beach was quiet - absolutely perfect for a family spring break getaway. Waking up to the sunrise on the water was unforgettable. And the kids and I loved spotting dolphins!Location was very convenient to hit the sights and dinner in St. Augustine. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a beautiful beach getaway.

If you are looking for serenity, this is the place. A beach right outside your doors. Non-stop windows facing the water allow you to enjoy the waves inside or a big deck for the full outdoor experience. Kitchen is fully stocked and the beds comfortable. To top it off….it is just minutes from St Augustine. It was the perfect beach vacation.

This is the second year in a row that we have rented this property for Spring Break. It is a great value and super unique. Fits our family perfectly. We had a couple of small logistical issues with the property, but Jean was very responsive to meet our needs. Will definitely rent again.

We all enjoyed our stay at Octagon Blue for my husband's 50th birthday. It was our first time visiting this area in Florida. Loved the circular home and the decor. Great week and fun times.

Such a unique home that makes perfect use of the octagon space, including a sizableMB with lounge area for quiet time. The views are amazing and the beach feels like old Florida. No crowds at all. I will definitely stay here again.
