Poor communication from the start. We had to reach out to the host ourselves to obtain check-in information. The listing was advertised as a 3-bedroom house, which is what we believed we booked; however, the check-in instructions stated we were “upgraded” to a newly renovated apartment. Unfortunately, the apartment did not reflect that description at all.The shower in the main bedroom was poorly installed and leaked heavily, leaving water all over the bathroom. The faucet had the same issue. The tissue paper provided was very low quality, and the pillows had an unpleasant odor. There were many small but noticeable issues, including dents on doors, patched walls, and overall wear. The kitchen looked very old and uninviting—we didn’t feel comfortable using it. Basic amenities such as a hair dryer and iron were not provided. The washing machine was outdated and extremely noisy. Additionally, the key was left outside in a flower pot, which did not feel secure.Overall, you get what you pay for. We are giving two stars solely for the location, which was within walking distance to coffee shops and stores.

Great experience! Easy check in. The property manager, Goodwin is great - very responsive. This cute and surprisingly spacious rental is exactly as pictured and described. Immaculately clean and tidy. Not one bug! Tiled floors. Indoor temperature was a perfect 72 degrees. Water pressure was great. Very quiet, safe area. (As close as it is, there is no highway noise.) I walked my little dogs without a problem. (Desert terrain, so sharp burrs in the area - watch out for little paws.) Bedrooms are a good size. Beds are comfortable. Nice linens and plenty of clean towels. We didn’t use the washer/dryer, but the unit was large and very clean. Simple kitchen has essentials. Small refrigerator does not hold much, but we were prepared having seen the photos. We stayed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I was fighting a cold and rested both days while my husband explored the area. I felt perfectly safe sleeping alone all day with my “tinies”. The neighbors keep to themselves. The space has a quiet, peaceful vibe. We stayed in unit 2 which had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (one en-suite). There is a private fire pit which we did not use. Even though I wasn’t feeling well, this was one of the more restful get always we’ve had. We would go back in a heartbeat.

This house is in the perfect location. It's close to hiking trails, restaurants, coffee shops, and it's easy to get to. It was our first time in Joshua tree and we were pretty comfortable here. Host is easy to contact. definitely check it out.

I stayed here with my family over Thanksgiving. The layout is great with 2 bedrooms, plenty of space for your luggage and 2 bathrooms with their own showers. Laundry was nice because I pack light. The kitchen had the basics so you can do your own grocery shopping. We came to Joshua Tree with no agenda, so it was nice that I could walk from the house to the visitor center to get maps and the park pass for the next day. The unit is just a block or two from the main road to get to the national park and near a lively center with restaurants and shops. It looked like there was a farmers market or fair one day. The host responded when I reached out and made sure we were comfortable. I would recommend for an easy location and everything you need in a home.
