Custer, South Dakota
Plan your next trip to the Mount Rushmore State and make the Custer Ruby Suites your destination! The house is right in the heart of downtown, next to the beloved Purple Pie place, just a few minutes walk to local restaurants, micro breweries, gift shops, museum, and the downtown historic Custer. Nearby, discover the incredible Mt. Rushmore, hike Black Elk Peak, or pay a visit to Custer State Park.
The house is newly remodeled with all new beds, bedding, couches, night stands, dressers, end tables, and TV. It also has a brand new kitchen with all of the amenities! Also features newer high efficiency washer and dryer, it has a back bar sink by the washer and dryer with plenty of rooms to fold clothes. It has a brand new central heating and AC for summer and winter rentals. The home has a very large deck facing main street with a large patio furniture set and extra outdoor chairs to accommodate larger groups. There is parking for 2-3 cars out front and room for more as needed in back.
This location is a must if you'd like to see the area and have your own space! I like to cook and chill when on vacation without the expense of eating out and interruptions of housekeeping and wall sharing in a motel or hotel. Property is clean, safe and the area is walkable. Would highly recommend!
Ruby Suites is a great house in the heart of Custer. We visited in the off season, so Custer was quiet, but the house had plenty of room for our family of 5, which included 3 teenage boys to spread out and relax after a day of hiking and/or sight seeing. Adam is easy to communicate with the and house is at it looks in the pictures. Would definitely stay again.
Excellent, but would recommend: softer couches, another recliner, extra paper towels and napkins. Wine and whiskey- just kidding!
This property was perfect for three couples biking the Mickelson Trail. We had space for gathering and space to spread out. The house was well stocked and comfortable. The location was an easy walk downtown to restaurants and very close to the Mickelson Trail. Adam was wonderful to work with. He checked in to make sure everything was going well and responded quickly to one small issue. I can highly recommend Ruby Suites!
Everything in great shape. Adam very at tentative. Definitely recommend!
This was a great house - lots of space, very clean and in a great location. Host was very responsive. The front porch is nice and shady in the evening. Kids had a great time walking a couple blocks to the main drag in Custer when we weren't out seeing the sights.
We had a fantastic stay, 2 couples for a long weekend. The location is an easy walk to restaurants. The home is in great shape, easy to settle in and enjoy ourselves.
Everything was great, but we had a problem with the key pad entry and closure locking pad.
We had a great time during our stay. The house had everything we needed and the location was fun with coffee, restaurants, shops and more within blocks.
This property fit our family perfectly!!! The house was very well stocked with anything you could possibly need - whether it was bathroom supplies or kitchen supplies - they had it all! We were all very pleased with our stay there and we would definitely consider renting again. My 5 year old grandson said that he wanted to stay in Custer forever because it's so nice!!! Adam was great to work with and was so quick to respond if we had questions! Thank you Adam for sharing your home with us and making it a wonderful and very memorable vacation for our family!! 5 stars for sure!
The house was beautiful, exactly as the listing and photos stated. The property is right on the Main Street, in walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Adam made everything easy, from check-in process, what to expect, and many suggestions on great things to do in the area. Custer is centrally located, easy access to the monuments, Custer State Park, and Deadwood, among many other attractions. This must be the best place to stay in Custer by far. I highly recommend Ruby Suites for your stay in the Black Hills!
We stayed here for a family reunion and everyone loved it. Adam was quickly responsive when we had any questions, the large deck outside and the gas grill were utilized a lot, the inside was nice, clean and up to date, and the kitchen was well-stocked. It was also easy walking distance to a coffee place, a pie shop, brewery and restaurants. A great location with plenty of parking. We would love to stay here again the next time we’re in the area.
Perfect location, walking distance to town. Close proximity to all attractions we wanted to see. Property had comfortable beds and was spotless. Host was very communicative. Would definitely recommend this place and would stay again.
This location allowed us to explore all that the Black Hills has to offer. From Mount Rushmore and Sturgis to the Mammoth Site in Hot Springs. This home was centrally located and walkable to downtown Custer, but also safe and quite. The amenities offered was also much appreciated and more than I expected. Thank you for hosting us.
Great house and great location. Enjoyed staying here very much. Very close to a wonderful pie and ice cream place which we visited several times. Had everything that we needed for our stay. Thanks for a great experience.
This is a great house! It's been beautifully updated and has everything you might need for your stay. This is one of the cleanest VRBO properties I have ever booked. Adam was very responsive to our questions and wanted to make sure that we had a 5-star stay at Ruby Suites, which we did! He suggested a bike rental company in Hill City that was excellent. We had a wonderful ride on the Mickelson Trail. Next time we are in Custer, we will book this property. Thank you Adam!
