Culp House: Ideal Location, Historic Gettysburg! Can Rent with the Cricket House

Absolutely wonderful! Keeps the history of this old house while having the right amount of updates to be comfortable for the modern traveler. So close to everything! This may be the best VRBO we've ever stayed in. Perfect balance. (Despite the fact that we made the mistake of booking during Bike Week---very loud!)

Great location, an easy walk to restaurants and super close to the Battlefield. The house is very specious for a few couples or a family. We would definitely rent again!

We stayed at this property for our Gettysburg 30 year reunion. There were six of us and the house was perfect! We absolutely loved the outdoor space and location to town and college was perfect. This was our second time staying at the property and we would book again!

The Culp House was perfect for our weekend getaway with the family. It was a great location, being one block from the battlefield and walking distance to downtown. The house itself was huge, with lots of character, and clean. We would definitely stay here again!

Property was very clean and the location was great for access to downtown, etc. Owner was very responsive and was able to resolve issue with the wifi quickly. We enjoyed the outdoor space, which was private and comfortable and the off street parking was very convenient. The main bedroom mattress was quite firm, for those who may not be accustomed to that, and would only suggest some additional or more comfortable furniture to relax on in the living room area. Overall, it's a great place and would recommend.

Location was great and parking was easy. House was extremely clean. All three bedrooms were nicer than in the photos. Will definitely stay there again if we go back to Gettysburg

Charming house in a wonderful location in downtown Gettysburg. The house is spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable with ample parking and a lovely backyard with seating. We were able to walk to downtown in less than 5 minutes. We enjoyed our stay and would rent this house again.

Perfect location in Gettysburg for walking to shops, restaurants and the town square. The house was immaculate and we appreciated the spaciousness of the kitchen, dining and living rooms. Highly recommended.

My family and I were in town for 4 days and were so pleased with the Culp House. It is in a great location with easy walking to anything in town. It was clean and really made our stay in Gettysburg so enjoyable. The owners were always quick and available for questions and check-in was a breeze.

This was our second visit to the Culp house. We love the location and the historic character of the property. Since we were there over Christmas, we also appreciated the tasteful holiday decor. If I have one suggestion, it would be to add a few more pots and pans to the kitchen equipment--but other than that we loved it and would definitely stay again.

This was the perfect place. It was spacious, the rooms and beds were comfortable, the house was extremely clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and it was conveniently located to downtown. Lots to do within walking distance. The host was so kind, answered all my questions quickly before arrival, and very kind. I would not only stay there again, but highly recommend it.

Beautiful home and perfect location. Easy to walk to town with lots of restaurant and shop choices. Enjoyed walking to the back entrance of the military park each morning. Home was clean and well equipped.

Perfect space and location!

Location location was key and it did not disappoint, this beautiful home was only a block away from Culps Hill battlefield which made it easy to walk to and also only a few walking blocks to downtown. The home itself amazing beautiful and very welcoming, clean and kitchen has everything you need.. fell in love with the victorian charm and beds are very comfortable.We will definitely book this home again for our next trip to Gettysburg. Our host are doing everything right and you won’t be disappointed, if I could give it more than 5 stars I would !

The house is in a great location, walkable to downtown. It was extremely clean and comfortable.

We enjoyed being with our family and seeing the sights. The house could use some TLC (though we realize it is historic). We think the city overall could use a lot of love. It was our first time there, but we could tell that Gettysburg seems to be having a difficult time maintaining its former glory. We wish you well

A very clean, comfortable house. We had thought about doing the hotel rooms route, but are so thankful that we chose the Culp House. Myself and my two adult sons were able to spend our free time together, and bond like we haven't been able to since they were teenagers. And best of all it is so centrally located within walking distance of the center of Gettysburg.

Great Victorian house that enhanced our Gettysburg experience. My family walked in and all I heard was Wow!, This is awesome!, and This house is amazing!. Kuddos to the housekeeper as the cleanliness and attention to detail is exceptional! The patio/garden area was delightful for morning coffee and evening chats. Convenient location from the Square and Battlefield. I honestly have nothing but great things to say about the house except for the street noise, so bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper.

We stayed at Culp House for 2 nights with 4 of our grandchildren. Staying in this charming, well-kept, older home in the historic district of Gettysburg seemed to help make history come alive. We toured the Battlefield and museum, and walked the neighborhood. History was everywhere!

Visiting Gettysburg with friends. First time for them about 8th time for me. The Culp House was great. It added to the experience. Plenty of room. Enjoyed sitting out back in the yard enjoying afternoon cocktails. Location was also a plus. We were able to walk to dinner both nights - including ice cream stops. And a few minute drive to the park Highly recommend staying here if you are planning a trip to Gettysburg.

My friend and I (40 women) randomly chose Gettysburg and this house got a quick getaway to relax. The location of the house makes it perfect for walking to anywhere in the center of town. The only slight negative to this was the noise. It is a busy road with lots of morning traffic and trucks. Other than that this home was wonderful!is that it was not a quiet street

The Culp House did not disappoint. We all felt very much at home and cozy. Clean, spacious and comfortable. We stayed off season so it was too cold to sit outside, but great outdoor space for warmer months. Five minute walk to town square with restaurants and shops. If you plan to cook be prepared to bring some basics like spices, plastic wrap, etc. We highly recommend staying here.

This property was perfect for our family of 4 adults. It was very clean. The beds were soft and there was plenty of bedding. The kitchen had everything necessary to prepare meals. It was conveniently located to downtown. A perfect place to come home and regroup after a day of sightseeing.

We love staying at the Culp House. We want for nothing during our trip. This year it rained so we were unable to enjoy sitting outside on the beautiful patio.
