This handsome lodge is built at the very spot where the fishing scenes of the classic movie “A River Runs Through It” were filmed, offering stunning views of the cliffs and the summit of Storm Castle from almost every room. With the sound of the river just down the slope, thescent of pines all around and a magnificent view across the river to the rock wall of Castle Rock, this lodge is truly a sight to behold. The lodge's beautifully decorated interior is equipped with modern amenities including a great stereo system, a 42” TV in the great room and in each bedroom, along with satellite internet throughout the lodge.

BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS: There are four bedrooms and extra sleeping space in two different areas – the den and the loft. The lodge also has 3.5 baths including a private bath with two sinks and a large shower with a river pebble floor in the master bedroom. The master bedroom, just off the great room, has a king size bed and double doors to the deck and the river. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a loft. The bedrooms have a king and a queen size bed and the loft has a queen sleeper sofa. These areas share a bath with a tub & shower, 2 sinks and a large closet. At the other end of the home, the bunkroom has two sets of bunk beds, one a double/twin and the other a twin/twin setup.

KITCHEN & DINING: The well-appointed kitchen, with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, has a large walk-in pantry and a bar counter that seats four. The dining table can comfortably seat ten and there is a gas barbecue for your outdoor grilling needs.

LIVING SPACE: The great room boasts an impressive bank of windows looking out to the river canyon, a vaulted ceiling, a large stone wood burning fireplace, and comfortable seating for a crowd, making it the perfect place for gathering. Additionally, the den off the great room serves as an office equipped with comfortable seating, a built-in desk, and wireless satellite Internet.

SETTING: The lodge's outdoor amenities are just as impressive with a large deck accessible from the great room, dining room, and master bedroom offering a breathtaking view of the cliffs and the Gallatin River. Our family enjoyed staying at this property in December. The surrounding area is beautiful and I can imagine the area is as lovely in the spring and summer. House was comfortable and clean and directions from house manager was clear and direct. We were able to enjoy the area's amenities within 30 minutes to an hour of the house.

Stunning location! Thirty to forty minutes from Big Sky Ski Resort but a beautiful drive. The place had everything needed to recover from a great day of skiing

Perfect for four couples and a kid. 40 minutes from Big Sky ski resort. Hour and fifteen from West Yellowstone for snowmobiling into the National Park.

Wonderful experience for my friends and I. We were looking for a low-key place to celebrate our friend’s wedding to be, and we found it. Accommodations were lovely, house and views were wonderful. Only constructive feedback I could give is there was a little discrepancy with the address - it either ends in 88, or 89 and it was wrong either on VRBO or the following communications after the booking. Caused a little issue with the cab companies we booked. BUT still a beautiful 5 star stay.

To the property management company, thank you! Friends and I felt spoiled to get to stay at such a nice place. To the owners of the home, your cabin getaway is a special place in terms of the landscape and the beautiful work you've done on the cabin to make it feel warm and rustic. I would and will recommend this location to anyone trying to go sky big sky for the weekend. It was a perfect getaway.

The house was just as advertised. There was plenty of room with a large great room and open floor plan. The house was well decorated. Everything was in working order and the kitchen was well stocked. We did not use the grill. I understand with this location there is only satellite internet—it is not the fastest. The internet is fine for browsing, but streaming is not possible and zoom was suboptimal. The “what’s nearby” must be measured as the crow flies. The mileage is inaccurate. The distance to Big Sky Resort is almost double what is reported in the what’s nearby, around 25 miles or 35-40 minutes.

Beautiful place with the river nearby. Hot tub was real stinky the first night. Maintenance came later morning and emptied. We couldn't use it that day or night because it was heating. We were there for Christmas and there were no decorations. We were offered decorations for an exhorbient price added to the bill. The 3 pull out hideabeds were a disgrace! Mattresses were unacceptable!
