My partner and I had a great stay here. It snowed the first day and the view through the large windows was stunning! Loved being able to build a fire, though there were no instructions on how to use the flue or fan, which would've been nice. A welcome binder with all the details including hot tub instructions would be helpful, since cell reception is non-existent here. Wifi worked great though! The space was tidy, but felt like it had been awhile since it had been cleaned - we found cobwebs, and a giant dead spider and debris in the shower. The bed was moderately comfortable, but I recommend bringing your own pillows - the ones provided were lumpy and hard. Kitchen was well stocked, but could use some normal sized spoons - they were all large. Found some DVDs in the upstairs closet, but no DVD player which was a bummer. Nice to have the smart tv option though! It was stormy our last night and we lost power early the next morning, and eventually lost all water pressure down to a tiny trickle, which was odd. All in all, the inconveniences were minimal, and the view, hot tub, and cozy living space with sunken fire pit are what make this a 5 star cabin. Would be fun to come back in the summer and sit down by the river!
Quiet and easy to get to. Perfect for a quick two night getaway. Hot tub was a plus
My family and I have been coming to MT Hood for a few years now. This place was one of the best experiences we had. It was in a great location, very clean and maintained, and had a great backyard and stream in addition to the hot tub. I highly recommend this as a family friendly spot! We will definitely be back!
Beautiful location!! Unfortunately, couldn't enjoy the outside deck because their were so many COBWEBS EVERYWHERE! Couldn't open the windows inside since their were so many cobwebs inside and outside of the track. One of the sliders down stairs screen door needs some major attention and also the dishwasher. Upstairs bedroom is VERY DARK and half way through our stay the one light that was in there burnt out. We had 2 guests that are deathly afraid of spiders and unfortunately we had many spider sightings inside the house and they were very present outside.
Beautiful setting but not quite as secluded as I would have hoped (or as described). Parts of the cabin are lovely. It could use little TLC in others and the water leaves a lot to be desired. Extremely offensive sulfur smell that lingers in the cabin and on you after a shower or even making coffee. Also, if you don't appreciate dripping sweat from humidity, make sure you are ok with no AC. It's listed this way but the cabin itself was overwhelming without a way to cool off. Not pleasant. Other than that, it was a nice weekend and the spot by the river is absolutely beautiful.
This home has a lot of character and charm and the creek is awesome! Great location, short drive to a handful of restaurants/shopping and all sorts of amazing nature is nearby as well.
A friend and I stayed in this magical cabin in the woods for a working retreat. Everything from the peaceful seclusion and forest views to the comfy furniture, cozy fireplace, and blazing-fast wifi made it conducive for a productive stay. We were transported right into that creative, right-brain zone we were seeking, and got a lot of work done. Will definitely return!
The house was very clean and the overall appearance was exactly as it is portrayed online. Unfortunately upon arrival, the thermostat was offline so it was colder inside the house than it was outside and it was 52 degrees outdoors at this time. I had to place multiple calls for someone to come fix the heating issue. This also turned into the hot water going on and the circuit breakers continued to trip. This also affected the hot tub which did not get above 86 degrees until the day I left. This was planned as a family trip but due to the ongoing lack of warmth, my kids and husband did not come so I was alone and did not have a chance to enjoy the stay which was a let down. Quite honestly this felt like a lot of money essentially wasted and I definitely would not recommend this rental.
We had a great time just hanging out and relaxing. Much cooler than staying at a hotel. Thank you for letting us stay!
This is a great CABIN experience. We arrived to find it just as advertised and at 48 degrees. Hot tub was hot and very fun for the kids with cool lighting. Cozy carpet in bedrooms and pillows surrounding the fireplace. Leather couch was great for watching Netflix. After hot tub, 2 showers, and turning the thermostat to 70, the furnace went out. We did our best at troubleshooting. Electrical worked fine and we presumed the furnace. We survived the 23 degree night with space heaters - firewood was not provided. In the morning - no water. We were worried about a frozen pipe, several calls to vacasa and no actual help. We went skiing and returned to HVAC guy who could not find the furnace but brought us a log. Could not reach the owner. Hot tub cold. We had a breakthrough with another try at the breakers. Another flip of the switch and we had a nice warm night. Turns out there is probably a pump house/furnace that is finicky? This is an old cabin and needs some instructions to go with it. It was a bummer for our weekend to deal with a blown fuse that we couldn’t figure out despite best efforts. We hope to hear from vacasa. We would go here again. Bring firewood!
