Creekside Barn Located On Bear Creek Just Minutes From Fredericksburg

What a wonderful, quiet, beautiful and peaceful property. Sitting outside watching the hummingbirds and deer was very enjoyable. Love the area not far from town and the hustle and bustle. Wish I could give 10 stars. Will definitely be staying here again. P.S. the homemade cookies were so delicious.

This is our 4th time to stay here and we have loved it every time. It is a paradise out of the fast lane. It is beautiful and relaxing. The host has such good taste and every amenity is to perfection starting with the yummy plate of cookies on the kitchen counter. The court yard area is relaxing and beautiful. The house is charming. The scenery just makes for relaxing paradise. You can't go wrong staying here.

We enjoyed our stay, it was a true escape. The location is away from the city and a quick drive in. The listing was accurate and the home was very clean. We felt safe and relaxed, perfect for a quick weekend getaway.

We had a very relaxing stay. Not far from downtown and very quiet. You can spend the evenings watching deer and hummingbirds. The best VRBO we have stayed at. The homemade cookies on arrival were very good! We will definitely be back.

Everything was excellent

This was our second time to stay here and it was just as wonderful as our first time!! Beautifully decorated inside and out!! The hosts are wonderful people!! I would recommend this place most definitely!! We will be staying again next year!!

Loved this property. Everything was top notch. Multiple outdoor sitting areas to sit and enjoy nature. The cabin itself was awesome and high quality. Hosts Shirley and Wayne have built a country paradise. We hope to come back if they continue to rent the cabin to guests. Thank you both so much for sharing it with us.

lovely secluded and quiet place

First impression was the home is pristine which is very important to us. Lots of thoughtful gestures and details like organic soaps and lotions in the bathroom, homemade cookies, chilled beer mugs in the freezer. The home is absolutely beautiful and there were so many fun antiques we got such a kick out of. The bed was comfortable. The home is nestled in an absolutely gorgeous piece of land which really helped us to rest and relax which was the purpose of our trip.

This was our first time staying at the Creekside cabin. We absolutely loved it. So peaceful and quiet. House was immaculate and extremely clean. Everything was perfect. We will definitely be back. Loved the plate of chocolate chip pecan cookies! Such a sweet touch!

This is our second time at Creekside Barn. Being outside of town and on 30 acres, it was quiet and relaxing. We didn't visit any wineries, but did enjoy an excellent dinner at Hill Top Cafe in Cherry Springs, TX.

My husband and I wanted a quiet getaway to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and this place was just that. Beautiful property and house! Plenty of deer and bird watching which we enjoyed. We had no complaints! Will definitely be coming back.

This is luxury rural property. Makes Green Acres look like a slum. Looks like a Mother-In-Law quarters for a very pampered senior. Roll-In shower suitable for a wheelchair or for a couple super intent on saving water and shower together. No dishwasher or garbage disposal, but well worth any such minor inconvenience.

Our 3rd stay at this lovely vrbo. I have absolutely no negatives to comment about, 100% positives. Delightful cookies on the kitchen cabinet waiting for us upon our arrival, every inch of the space was super clean, wonderful linens, towels, etc and comfy bed. It's the perfect out from town vrbo if you like nicities and Nature too. Highly recommend

As we first drove in the property, it was beautiful.

This is our 2nd time to stay in this well appointed cottage in the county and won't be our last! It is so refreshing to spend time here with nature. We saw deer, humming birds, a fox and a very friendly kitty. The bed is so comfortably and having a glass of wine under the pergola as the sun went down is so relaxing! Coffee in the same spot in the morning is nice too. We spent 3 nights and it was hard to leave.

This property was perfect for my husband and me. It was quiet. The bed was comfortable (it’s adjustable!). And the homemade cookies that were waiting for us? My husband thoroughly enjoyed those!! We will definitely come back for another stay!!

We love this place. We visited 2 years ago and decided to return. It's so peaceful with lots of nature to enjoy: hummingbirds, deer, turkey, several other bird species,etc. The accommodations are very nice and well thought out. The cookies were so good and so thoughtful. A great choice away from the crowds.

This was our second stay here, and we loved it as much as the first stay. Creekside Barn is a peaceful and relaxing property in the country, a few minutes south of Fredericksburg. We came for a family wedding north of town. They keep it so clean and comfortable here. The adjustable Tempurpedic bed is very comfortable. The delicious homemade cookies are a sweet treat upon arrival. Watching all the hummingbirds at the feeders is so relaxing. There were deer nearby in the mornings, too. I loved having coffee on the porch, watching the gorgeous sunrises and animals nearby. Great place to read my devotionals and do prayer time listening to the birds. The landscaping is amazing out there, too! It’s worth the few extra minutes drive for this peaceful respite from the business of town. There are a few wineries nearby, as well, on Hwy 16. Thank you Shirley and Wayne for being great hosts and sharing your beautiful property with us again!

The hosts are so good at being attentive but giving space. They helped me correct a mistake on the booking and they keep their place so well tended and stocked. Our second time just as wonderful as the first. So quiet and so many birds to watch and just relax on the porch. Thank you for sharing your little corner of heaven! Worth the drive.

My husband and I booked this weekend getaway for our 22nd wedding anniversary and by far it exceeded our expectations! The property was so absolutely beautiful! The home is so beautifully decorated! You can tell the owners have put so much love and hard work into this place! My husband and I both felt so at home there! We enjoyed the peacefulness and privacy of this property. We enjoyed listing to the sounds of nature, the wind blowing in the trees, birds chirping, and the hummingbirds! The number of hummingbirds was just amazing! We could sit inside and watch them fly around like little bees! You could even hear their tiny wings as they fluttered around the feeders! While we were there the weather turned a little rough the first night and the owners graciously allowed my husband to park his truck in their garage! We were able to meet the owners, and they are the sweetest couple! Our stay there truly made our 22nd anniversary a very memorable one! We look forward to coming back very soon!

This property is exactly as described, easy to get to, very clean, and the scenery is beautiful. The owners are very nice people and willing to do whatever it takes for you to enjoy your stay. Perfect place to rest, relax and enjoy before the craziness of the holidays.

We really enjoyed every minute at Creekside Barn. Shirley & Wayne have a lovely spot here, every possible thing you may need is in the cabin. The highlight is how peaceful and quiet it is there with hummingbirds, deer, squirrels and “Arnie” the armadillo. If we lived in the USA we’d come every year!
