The house was great for a large group. Everyone got their own bedroom and the many bathrooms were awesome. The dining and bar area were large and we loved the space to spend time all together. Overall we had a great experience.
The cabin is located in the most serene location that you could ever find! There is many amenities available that you could schedule something different every single day there. The house is in immaculate condition and the available space allows you to feel at home. The bedrooms are comfy and well stocked with linens. The hostess was available to at all times and constantly ask if there was anything that we needed. The upgrades that they have planned for the house will make an improvement both inside and out. I had family that worked while at the camp and never lost, or complained, about the internet provided. There are plenty of eating places nearby that provide a nice selection of food. The locals are also very friendly and make you feel at home there. Overall, the stay at the cabin had nothing negative that I could find. The hosts were wonderful and provided every need that you could think of, to include the changing of the linens. I plan on keeping the cabin on my places to return to and look forward to our next stay there!
This house is in the process of pretty significant renovations. The owners are definitely on the right track and have made some great improvements so far, but there is a lot more work to be done. The vibe ended up being an odd mix of high/low: nicer bedrooms, tons of pillows, loads of towels....but missing hand soap and a basic kitchen with plastic silverware. Our stay was really impacted by a lack of wi-fi and no cell service (Verizon/TMobile) anywhere near the house. It made it hard to coordinate arrivals, couldn't communicate with the outside world, TV didn't work, couldn't look up activities in the area, couldn't contact the owners with other issues... It would have been helpful to at least have a landline in the house. Other things to know: the fifth bedroom is more of a pass-through den off the living room, not a real bedroom. The pool listed on the site is totally dry, not in service. The dining room is pretty rustic, no larger table for family meals, but nice larger space to let the dogs play. The area is beautiful though: great creek outside to play in, nice front porch for relaxing, picnic table out back for meals during nice weather, lots of open space for kids and dogs to run, free amenities in attached campground. And the parts of the house that have been renovated are really very nice. We all agreed that once the work is done, it's going to be a great spot. The owners have made nice decisions so far, just might need more time to finish the work.
Beautiful, tranquil setting for R&R. Connie, Andy, and Cody are very attentive should any needs arise. Would definitely return.
