We booked this house as a last minute stay for the holiday. We had 3 adult siblings and our dad home for the holidays. This home was perfect for us! The bedrooms were spacious and everyone had their own designated place to stay since we used the sunroom as a bedroom. Everything in the kitchen was up to date which was really nice! Neighbors were super friendly and said hi to our dog as well. We loved staying here and hope to come back in the summer!
The house was well stocked in the kitchen and other supplies. The kids loved using the kayaks and caught a few small fish. House was clean, fireplace was cozy, and loved all the windows for views of the water!
We had a 5 day stay in the cozy lake house on Lake Chemung. The house had a warm friendly vibe. It was clean and well appointed. We felt right at home. Five heron were frequent visitors, rabbits hopped about in the morning, and we saw deer, chipmunks, and a raccoon. The yard was big, the shore sandy, the dock sturdy and long. Our neighbors were friendly, but respectful of our space. I loved sleeping by the huge windows overlooking the lake. I kept the blinds open so I could see the lake at night. It was so peaceful. It was well within driving distance to Ann Arbor. Everything we needed was close by, yet we felt the peace of the lake, nature ambiance. Wonderful place. So thankful I chose it.
This lake cottage is where grandparents, adult kids, and grandkids chose to spend invaluable time together. We hope to return again. The kitchen and dining area were nice and had everything we needed. The living room was a little tight in space for our group, but we made it work for game nights. Two of the bedrooms with comfortsble beds were nice and large as we needed to put up pack n plays. It would be nice if there were twin beds added in the future so the grandkids don't have to share a bed in the those bedrooms. The third bedroom was a fine size for a couple, but the mattress was older and the bedframe springs were bouncy. We mainly all shared the one bathroom downstairs since that was the floor level that we spend most of our time, where the shower was and the regular sized bathrub needed to bathe the kids ages 7 and under. The bathroom upstairs had a large jet tub with no shower and was inside one of the bedrooms. We enjoyed the outside area, playing in the shallow water and in the large yard. There wasn't much of a sand area for the toddlers to play in. We did not use the kayaks, but a good idea to have. The manager and her daughter were great when we had a question and were very quick to respond. We liked this cottage, enjoyed our stay there and hope to return there.
Excellent location with a large back yard leading to the lake. Golf courses are close and reasonably priced. Interior is clean with plenty of beds.
A very nice cozy and relaxing stay . Owner very nice and personal . Beautiful view . Cool water thats refreshes you on hot day
The home was clean and had everything we needed. The beach was perfect for the kids to play for hours. The neighbors were all so nice. We had a lovely family vacation. I would recommend to my family and friends for future trips.
The house was beautiful as was the lake. We loved the view from the huge windows. Our children liked the spinning chair. Having kayaks was wonderful. It was mostly quiet and peaceful, but we did like seeing the pontoons go by. The shallow water was good for the kids. The whirlpool tub was a nice unexpected surprise.
We had a nice stay. The only problem we had was that the property manager did not follow up on a request.
We had a great time! The location was perfect. The host was readily available if needed. The house was the perfect size for our family to get together.
This was our 3rd stay in this cottage on Lake Chemung. The house in a nice size for family to gather for a couple of days of fun, 9 of us. Plenty of room for sleeping. The lake is beautiful and very warm this time of year. We always have a wonderful time.
This was our second year at this property and we love it. We’ll maintained and an excellent location. Diane is great to work with and very accommodating.
We had the nicest time at Sleepy Hollow! Wonderful stay! Love the shallow water and the big open backyard for the kids to run and play. Everything was great. Looking forward to staying again next year!
The water was clean and warm. The cottage is well laid out and entirely upgraded. A Covid scare kept my grandchildren from coming and I’m sure they would have loved it. We would love to rent again.
Loved shallow water for little ones, beach for digging for little ones, cottage worked well.
Your lake property worked out great for us. The updated kitchen was great with room for a large family. The rest of the time that we were there - was spent out in the large yard by the lake and around the firepit.
Check in was seamless. Beautiful view! Clean! Upstairs is super hot even with the A/C On. Otherwise no complaints.
We were in Michigan for my son’s graduation from U of M. We had two set of grandparents with us who are in their late 70s, and my younger teenage son. The house was lovely and stocked with everything we needed, and lots of extras! I think we were the first visitors of the year who wanted to spend time outside, so the hosts were quick to stop by and bring out all the chairs and tables. They even provided us a new gas grill when we told them we were hoping to have a graduation party for a few extra people before we left. This home would be perfect for families with children! I will caution that the stairs were kind of steep for our elderly parents and there is only one bathroom upstairs. The one master bathroom upstairs has only a large bathtub, no shower. Great for kids, but not great for old people. I will say, I had zero complaints from any of my family members! We were all happy to be there for the special occasion, the hosts were super nice and accommodating and we just took turns in the full bath with shower downstairs. I thought it would be an issue, but it wasn’t. We loved the house, and it was an easy 25 minute drive to Ann Arbor’s campus.
