Local outdoor activities include lake and stream fishing less than two miles away, hiking in national forests, tubing in the local river, snowboarding, skiing, sledding and snowshoeing during the winter at local ski resorts. It is a five-minute drive to an RC plane park. Dark, clear skies at night for star-gazing and meteor spotting. This is a get-away home for relaxing with family or as a home base for adventuring
