Frostburg, Maryland
Punchie was known for her hospitality and cooking. She passed on her style and eagerness to please. You will relax at Punchies Place. The bedrooms, with their room darkening curtains and nicely selected bed linens and comforters, will make certain you have a peaceful rest or a cuddly space to watch a movie. Your kitchen is completely outfitted for the aspiring cook in the family and you're within walking distance to restaurants and walking trails. So much to see and do here in the Allegany Mountains.
Clean, clean, clean! Our own carport parking space, nice size kitchen, cozy living space with comfortable furniture, two lovely bedrooms with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. Very convenient to walk downtown. It was a delightful experience.
The stay that I booked was booked twice so I ended up staying in the home next door. I have been nothing but upfront with the owners. Unprofessional not to have a calendar and have two families booked for the same home. Although offered the other side it was not what I expected. The owner watches the home through the cameras and told me I left this morning in which I left yesterday morning for a family emergency. Promises to hold my things there until I return on Friday morning and I offered to pay another night. She agreed. Then I get a response I packed your things and put on the indoor patio and threw your food away that you bought. Now I’ve lost money because she did not keep her end of the bargain and very iffy. One minute they say one thing the next minute they say another. I don’t like for people to touch my belongings especially when that was not agreed on. Would not recommend these owners to anyone.
We had 3 generations biking on the Great Allegheny Passage Trail. The town of Frostburg was lovely, the trail was about 1/2 a mile from the door and Rose was lovely. The house was impeccably clean and well-appointed. We highly recommend!
Great place to stay
Rose was a very communicative host, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed mid week. She even baby-proofed the house and her husband shoveled snow for us. The property is in a quiet end of town near the University and within walking distance of Main Street and all the shops and restaurants. Our only complaint was that the listing says, Quiet townhouse all to yourself, which is mostly accurate, but it's actually an old house divided into two residences. Rose lives on the other side and the walls are pretty thin. We could hear the tv, conversations, and walking around. Though, for the most part that was minimal. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and I would stay there again.
Close to GAP trail and hiking. Spotlessly clean, kitchen has new appliances and well stocked. Comfortable bed and beautifully decorated. Especially loved the shower! Pleasant and helpful hosts! Loved this place. Covered parking too!
