Stayed Dec 26, 2025Our host was very responsive and went above and beyond getting answers for our questions. Very pleasant and safe neighborhood. Close to everything. We went skiing and dinner in the village and never felt inconvenienced.

Stayed Aug 8, 2025My girlfriends and I stayed at Jeff's rental for a girl's weekend. The rental was in a perfect location. It was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Beach access to Lake Placid was an added bonus. We are talking about going back in the winter to enjoy the snow events and plan on staying at Jeff's as it was an ideal set up.

Stayed Jul 18, 2025We loved this place! Our daughter was participating in the Lake Placid Ironman (and became one !!!) The condo is 8 minutes to downtown Lake Placid. It was very spacious, warm, and cozy and looks out over the golf course. The resort boasts beautiful scenery and landscaping with a view of Whietface mountain and has a short trail with a bridge close by. There were a few issues such as the 2nd bedroom window was broke, but is scheduled to be fixed, and there was a minor water issue near the washer and dryer which was promptly being addressed. Jeffrey was super responsive and easy to communicate with. Overall, it was a perfect place for a comfortable, restful, and peaceful place for the challenges of the Ironman. Thank you!

Stayed Jan 16, 2025We stayed at this 1985 time capsule during our winter ski trip to Whiteface mountain and Lake Placid.Pros:The living room is super cozy thanks to the fireplace and the copious free wood provided by the host (bring you own fire starters, though). Also, the location is great... not too far from downtown and near a few clubhouses. Also, the original 1985 GE refrigerator is a testament to the craftsmanship of American-made products of that era. Still working like a champ after decades of use... they sure don't make them like that anymore.Needs Work:As others have mentioned, some areas are in desperate need of renovation. For us, it was the bathrooms that need the most attention. Mold everywhere, but especially in the showers. Also, bring your own body wash and shampoo. Those were not provided.Overall, for the cost I thought it was fine. Cozy, comfortable but needs a little TLC.

Stayed Oct 12, 2024This property is very comfortable, for families or groups, with well-equipped kitchen, and a well-placed dining area with access to the porch and lovely views of the open space. It is, however, difficult for people with limited mobility, because of the steep stairs to the bedrooms and full bathrooms.

Stayed Aug 15, 2024The property had a great location in a quiet neighborhood with a nice view of the golf course. The property was clean and well stocked. However we were disappointed that the windows upstairs wouldn’t open and the gas grill was missing. Lastly the door on the lazy Susan was broken

Stayed Jul 22, 2024This is a nice little place that is very functional and has the big bonus of access to the lake & its activities by virtue of being part of the Whiteface Resort. The owner was very nice and very fair when I had a minor (unusual it seems) issue the first day and refunded me part of my stay due to it. Owner lives abroad so best to communicate questions early in case there is a delay in response.

Stayed Jul 17, 2024Where to start...I've stayed at many VRBOs and this is the lowest rating I've ever given. Here's why: This unit was built in the late 70's and is falling apart. I don't think anything has been done to this unit since it was built. Really. Windows didn't close. Windows didn't open. The deck is falling down. No bathroom sinks drained properly. No bathroom sinks had working stoppers. The kitchen cupboards are coming apart (you had to pull the lazy susan apart to close the dishwasher. No A/C. The listing is false. There's a crappy old portable unit that weights 200lbs in a closet. It is not setup to window vent as parts are missing. The fans supplied were as old as the house and aren't nearly powerful enough in hot summer months. They shake and rattle like crazy. How much does it cost to buy decent fans? Hungry for breakfast? No problem! Just pick out the cereal pieces embedded in the place mats. Want to use the bikes? Forget it. They are broken and useless. The BBQ grill is disgusting and I was not sure how a single burner BBQ like this works. The clicker to start it is broken as well (obviously). The place is like a dark cave. It's all in brown and the lights are pathetic. Even on a bright day, the place is dark. Invest in some decent lighting throughout. The sheets are not cotton - they were microfiber. They didn't breath at all. That maybe fine in the winter, but in a hot room with crappy fans, it did not help. The kitchen items were as old as the house.
