Very cute and interesting place. The hot tub was completely clean. With freezing temps overnight the fireplace did an amazing job keeping up.
The yurt was cozy, comfortable, clean,, and neat as a pin. An absolutely perfect little private retreat for a weekend!
We love it here. Our second time back to celebrate our wedding anniversary. A quite and peaceful spot where we can relax and enjoy nature together. Big enough for two or three very close friends or family. Husband and I bring a cooler for drinks and stock our food in the fridge. The yurt has everything you need for simple living.
The yurt was great. Loved the bay views and, oh my, the birds were spectacular. On the downside, the DVD player was broken and no one told us the yurt was 50 feet from West Virginia. Finally, there is no beach, just miles of broken rocks.
Everything was nice except we were never able to get the Internet to work on the television and we called numerous times and finally just gave up.
This yurt is called “secluded” in the description. In reality, there is nothing secluded about it. It is an ADU behind a large house in a neighborhood full of homes and there is a big shop next to it that someone is using all day long. The front and side yard of the yurt is a parking lot that four vehicles not, including our own, were in an out of all day/night. The yurt itself is lovely however, with it literally just being a tent there is no audible privacy. No walls blocking out all the noise of the people who park their cars there using them at 4 AM or the neighbor doing construction super early in the morning or even the road noise from the highway. Lovely yurt just without any privacy; we won’t be back and you should really change the description. I would post a picture of the front/side yard of the yurt with all the cars and the big shop but Vacasa doesn’t allow it.
Staying at the yurt was the best vacation and exceeded my expectations. Perfect views, minutes away from so many beaches, local shops, and delicious food. I would 110% come back! The hot tub was clean and easy to use.Thank you for providing us a perfect stay!
Overall amazing experience, being able to stay right on the Bay, relax in the hot tub, and walk out to the water made this a great getaway. The yurt itself was very cozy but does need some dusting.
The Yurt on The Bay felt like home the moment we stepped inside. It is comfortably appointed, and well cared for, and has an amazing view of the bay that I cannot recommend strongly enough near sunset. We had a wonderful time and look forward to coming back in future visits! Thank you for a wonderful time!
Pros: fireplace, fire pit,
Luxurious yurt, well appointed.
This place was amazing! Never seen or stayed at such a fancy yurt! And the view was phenomenal. Hit tub was a definite bonus. Will definitely be returning!
We loved our stay! It’s small but still luxurious. And the water is right out front. We saw wildlife like deer, water birds, and giant slugs! Bring binoculars to see them up close, and extension cords since space and outlets are tight in this carefully planned hut. Time your trip right because light streams in from the top and lights the whole space, which could impact sleep. The green space out front was wonderful for our doggo. Since it’s on the bay, no real ocean sounds, but at high tide it’s like your practically sitting on the water. Bring boots or water shoes to walk the bay at low tide - it’s quite muddy (less sandy) but fun! So relaxing! We were planning out next visit on the ride home :)
Great place for a weekend getaway!
Right on the bay.. glamping at its best
First, let me say this is one of our favorite places to visit. It’s private, beautiful views and a nice getaway for us. We just wish the couch was newer and to please fill the hole next to the paver by the hot tub. My husband rolled his ankle. Accidents happen… :) We would also prefer non-scented detergent used on the towels and bedding. Other than those three things we really love the Yurt on the Bay. Especially when it rains! (Awesome shower head too!)
We loved the quiet. Also the yurt was really nice.
This is our 4th time at the yurt, we love the location. It's glamping at it's finest.
The yurt itself was darling. The beams and skylight are beautiful, minus the cobwebs. The property is great if you can get past the horrifying shed across from the driveway that has its door open always, and 2-3 cars coming and going. The bed was super comfortable and the shower is awesome!!!! We were only given 2 rolls of toilet paper for 4 days and check out is at 10am, but 9am landscaping was there to make sure we knew it was time to go. Made our relaxing weekend end on an anxious note. Overall we won't be staying at the Yurt on the Bay again, but happy to have had the experience.
My husband and two kids and I stay for 2 nights. We felt that we had our own private beach. Didnt see other people. Dug lots in the rocks of the bay and walked up and down checking out all the drift wood. I feel like I never see it anymore on the coast. We used hot tub it was very nice. Didn't get around to bbq or fire pit but liked the idea of it. The little kitchen was perfect size for us. We drove to rockaway for sand experience for the kids cause bay isn't quite the same as dry sand. We saw deer on morning. The yurt was cozy warm and cute. There are no doors inside very open space I didn't realize at first in photos. I would feel uncomfortable staying with not close friends just having curtin for bathroom. But with husband and kids it was find for us. If I had to complain the mattress was super soft, sunk in. I can sleep anywhere but it was difficult. And the pull out mattress look little too stained and worn. Time for a upgrade.
