We had been looking for a quiet and peaceful country getaway, and the Mars Hill Farmhouse was definitely all that. Check-in and communication with Christina were easy and timely. We loved the farmhouse setting, which is set well back from a country road and very quiet. Several cows arrived on the hills nearby every morning, and took their leave every evening. The house itself is cozy, with all the kitchen basics needed for our stay. The farmhouse location is nearby several cute, artsy mountain small towns (Mars Hill, Weaverville, Burnsville) and Asheville, all within about a 20 minute drive. There are plenty of great coffee shops, restaurants and craft shops in the area. Well-Bred Bakery in Weaverville was our favorite! We thoroughly enjoyed our week's stay at the Farmhouse, and recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the Asheville area.

We absolutely loved this property. Wake up to the crisp mountian air and have coffee while you soak in the view and watch the cows. We would 100% stay here on our next trip to ashvill. We picked the perfect time to see the leaves all change colors, it was magical.

We loved this cozy cottage location right in the middle of a cow pasture! Beautiful views and close to quaint downtown Burnsville. We enjoyed hiking trails and touring the shops and antique stores. There was an Ingles grocery store nearby. The evenings and mornings were so much cooler than Raleigh and it was a welcome relief from the heat and hustle and bustle of work life. We were able to open the windows at night and let in the fresh air and turn off the AC. We grilled steaks and made breakfast in the well appointed kitchen. The only negative is that the front porch was full of bird droppings and the patio table, swing and chairs were not cleaned and covered in a thick layer of dirt. I was able to round of some hot soapy water to wipe down the patio table and chairs with a rag so we could use them. We would definitely come back here. Told my coworker and they are planning on booking here.

The Farm house was beautiful and beyond my expectations. It was cozy and warm when I arrived. The views of the surrounding valley are amazing. The gas grill was perfect for dinner! I plan on coming back!

I rented the Farmhouse for a short stay. The open floor plan creates a roominess you wouldn’t expect from a one-bedroom place. The living room is cozy and comes equipped with smart tv. The kitchen is a working kitchen but has sufficient counter space to create bigger meals. The house was very clean, check in / check out was easy . Keurig and coffee pods in the kitchen, cows in the pasture in the mornings. A great atmosphere!

We loved staying at the farmhouse!! Very clean and updated. The house had everything that you would need. As for the outside….wow!! It was truly like a scene from a movie. Waking up every morning to the beautiful rolling hills and friendly cows, to staying up at night around the fire pit staring at the stars…my dogs absolutely loved it too! It was definitely the peaceful, quiet getaway my spouse and I were looking for. We will be back!

Great place, easy, fantastic location. Absolutely gorgeous view out the back of the pasture area going up to the ridge line. Listen to the turkeys and watch the deer. In the mornings being greeted by the cows. Which came around each morning around 6:30-7:00. The location was super easy to get around. It’s about 15 min to Burnsville or 25 mins to Asheville. There is plenty to do and see close by. Whether its shopping, fishing, hiking, or just sipping wine or beers on the porch The kitchen is stocked really well. The porch is amazing. The cottage is very comfortable. It’s every thing you are looking for while you are in the mountains. Thanks for a great weekend!

Our family had an excellent stay at the cozy farmhouse. We cooked dinner on the grill each night then finished off with roasting marshmallows in the fire pit until the sun came down and the fireflies started to flicker. Then we woke up and enjoyed our coffee and watched the cows graze in the field. Super relaxing basecamp for our weekend trip. Close to the city but far enough to getaway from it. After doing some hikes and enjoying the day away we couldn't wait to get back to the house to enjoy the evening. The kitchen had more than plenty of cooking equipment. Also the firewood was provided. We bought a starter log to make it easy to light. Definitely would stay again with my family. The kids loved it.
